Even Supergirl spent time on Themyscara, learning to fight against people roughly in her weight bracket. Of Thanos vs. Hulk, if you’re into Marvel.

I always love this scene visually but i end up with two questions at the end everytime I see it now: what did MM think he was going to do with that pistol? How is this fight so close? Butcher is a special forces secret agent guy who trained all his life to fight, Homelander is a super hero so powerful he doesnt have to do anything. In a fight between him and a movie star it wouldnt even be close

My only complaint is that it was not long enough. As long as the fans had waited they should have allowed homelander to get beat up more, allow him to show true fear of being beat, probably for the first time ever. I also think it would have made sense that homelander's character would be confused about losing having never lost before, not even close to losing. Anyway, the scene was great just saying I think they could have done more with it to leave more of an impact:)

Love the show but let's be real, if it's a level playing field for Butcher and Homelander in terms of power, Butcher would crush Homelander. Butcher is a hardened black ops type with years of training and successful missions under his belt. Homelander grew up coddled by a bunch of terrified scientists who taught him nothing and we're only interested in furthering his powers. Homelander is the equivalent of a spoiled rich kid only he has super powers and money. He wouldn't survive a suped up Butcher. Hell, I doubt he'd even land a single shot..but it's a fictional show and we need Homelander to be a baddie, lol.

Anthony starr fucking CRUSHES acting. He has absolutely fantastic delivery and micro expressions. ‘William butcher and soldier boy, you are behind this’ is a pretty damn corny line, but he gives it this exasperated, disappointed inflection that totally makes the line work

It would’ve been funny, but you’re also had flight power… having him chase homelander..
