Each indivdiual bird of same species might sound differently too, I mean the same call also depending on the age of the bird . There is bird in my village.. can suspect as a forest eagleowl, a large bird owl almost the size of an eagle, I've seen two times late night.. an defineatly exiciting to see, I and I've heard calls few times a year, problem is dogs obsecure the call with imeditaly with barking responses to that.. . I think a better prove is , capturing the call with bird with video evidance . Lucky if got a chance like that , we'll see one day . I think , this video gave a good insight that so called devil bird call might be different to different places & people, also few bird speicies capable of similar calls may be there is a difference in intesity. But I have heard some recordings.. they are quite close to a human call, it has a mixing like human-non human in between call, something like "Ayyo..". , this call must be the perfect score to hit the horror feeling in people . Thank you , it's a great video. we might be able to solve mistery one day.

@@jee1zen Good points. Yes, one day, the mystery will be solved. Perhaps a lot of credible observations are needed for that. Yes, dogs barking at these calls/songs is also an interesting phenomenon to pay attention to. If possible, video recording is a good way, though there many physical and technical obstacles to that. Hope you'll be successful in collecting some data towards solving it. Thank you for your comments 👍💚❤️
Melbourne also has these cool old streetcars (or trams as they call it). They are called City Circles and run every 12 minutes in both directions around CBD for free. We thought the southern states had pretty mild winters, but we were there in early January and ended up dealing with some freezing rain! Another beautiful video. Thanks for sharing with us.

That's nice 😊 yes, these street cars too run about every 12-15 minutes or so. There are about five lines here. The other line we used have more modern looking street cars. Will share in the part 2. Yes, I've heard that weather in some parts of Australia is very variable. Thank you so much 👍❤️

@BACKYARDHIKERS No I mean the southern states of the USA like Louisiana🙂

Ah, I got it wrong 😊 Yes, depends on the cold fronts largely. But, as you go north from say, North Florida it gets more seasonal anyway.
This video was super cool and it took me back to watching Marty Stouffer's Wild America series when we were kids. Really loved it. Wishing you, The backyard hikers, an epic new year packed with adventures and great memories. But be sure to share all your adventures with us. Can't wait to watch them.😃

Wish you and your loved ones a Great New Year 🎊🎊 Yes, we are on the same boat about enjoying nature and what we've watched or read about it. I remember Marty's swamp forest visit in Everglades where he walked among partially submerged trees like the ones here and picked up a large Alligator Snapping Turtle! We went to a spot almost exactly like that in Everglades which is not included in a video yet, I guess. Your comments prompt me to make one out of it. Thank you so much as always for the wishes, suggestions, and comments🎊💚❤️🙏

Hi, Is there away to inform the Department of Wildlife & Conservation to re-start this research of Dr P E P Deraniyagala? Re look at the past data and specimens which are available now?

The Department of Wildlife Conservation is / should be the managing authority of wildlife resources. But, research of the kind needed here is done by scientists. I think the latter should do the research and the DWLC should use it for managing the wildlife. Thank you for your concern 👍💚❤️
