A (unrelated) thing I find hard to wrap my mind around. Water increases in pressure as it goes deeper. Doesn’t matter the size of container. THAT MEANS that if you could hold a long drinking straw with water in it as high as a 100 story building, it would have enormous pressure on the bottom area of the straw, which of course a normal straw couldn’t contain.

This woman is going on a rant about a movie. Ant-Man is a superhero with special powers. So the stuff shes saying doesnt have to apply to a fictional superhero. Lol

You can apply this thinking to cosmology,... if you are not greatly energized/ionized and you are on a planet you might believe that gravity is the main force BUT if you are a giant ionized cloud of gasses the size of a thousand galaxies you will find the electro magnetic forces tugging on you dwarf gravity by a factor of a hundred and more. Somebody tell the cosmologists.

This is why ant man passes out when he gets large and also why he has to wear a helmet with respiration when large/small. As for the physics of a large ant not working out, I call bullshit. Mainly because insects don't use muscles the way mammals do, so fluid dynamics would still apply in larger scales. If you don't believe me, look at a hydraulic heavy machinery item...the fluid provides ridiculous force through small pumps (relatively).
@Greyfoxdbz1810 күн бұрын
I watched Ant man once and I was in disbelief that they thought you could shrink a tank down to the size of a keyring and then put it in your pocket. If shrinking it meant massively reducing the empty space between molecules then surely the tank would weigh the same a full-sized tank and you wouldn't be able to lift it.
