David Byrne's American Utopia brought me here. In the preamble before he performs this song he mentions that in his version of the song, the narrator is not sure whether he wants everyone at his house. He says he finds it profound that although not one lyric or melody changed, in the Detroit version it is a happy song of inclusion. He then says, in an apologetic tone, that the audience is going to get his version, "because I am what I am." The audience then laughs, cheers and applauds. David's face is genuine confusion, and he says "I don't know how to take that applause" And as an autistic, this is why I love David Byrne.

When a woman (a dictator's wife) has her own personal hairdresser, a wardrobe budget measured in the millions and spends an hour "in make-up" before each public appearance, yes, she is going to look rather pretty. There are so many women in the Philippines much more beautiful than her. And they're not stealing the food out of the mouths of the starving so that they can feed their own gluttony.

The addicts, the pushers, the leeches on society ... the "Beautiful People" ... all out dancing. Byrne is one of my favorite artists alive today. A genius. It's no accident he chose one of the worst leeches of them all for the thumbnail.

Recuerdo a un montón de intelectuales caribeños criticando a byrne , cuando el tipo simplemente es un crack, un maldito genio. Rey MOMO es una obra de arte de la antología de la creación artística humana.

This video is edited from the original lyrics. 2 lines I've been removed. Look it up. I wonder why they were removed. Below are the removed lyrics And I miss America and sometimes she does too And sometimes I think of her when she is fucking you
