Hello; & thanks for the presentation. We had moved our pdm into a Solidworks Manage Plm envirornment, but then were bought by a company that uses Creo & the Windchill Plm. The idea is to keep things in Solidworks that are quite established within that, but get rid of SW Manage & move things under the umbrella of Windchill. We have some very elaborate configuations schemes in Solidworks for some of our product lines, & were wondering & concerned about how Windchill handles SW configurations. Thanks in advance for any follow up.

It's not Multi-CAD - it's just SOLIDWORKS and Windchill. Multi means more than one, so there should be at least SOLIDWORKS and Creo in one Part Structure.

I experimented with this extension once and the resulting file was really huge, is that what you folks see as well? When was this module last updated or improved?

Is the statement that Boeing uses ISDX for wing design factual? I sounded like, or could be interpreted that it's an established company wide practice that all wing design be done using ISDX? It's pretty widely known that Boeing uses Catia, and since Catia can create curves from laws and equations, and is well known for surface creation, I'm very surprised by that statement. Perhaps it's actually an outside resource of theirs that does some of their wing design for them, or a couple of engineers that know Creo better than Catia? It's entirely possible that a company might establish a process that would involve specific functionality that a specific CAD program or module has. but from what little I know about Boeing and their use of Catia, it would be surprising to me that they established the use of ISDX for that purpose. It seems that someone would have jumped in and pushed the use of Catia, unless perhaps it's just a couple of engineers that are independently using the CAD package they prefer to use.

I am using Creo simulate on a daily basis in my company. Analysis van never this simplified as Creo simulate does it.

What if the supplier doesn’t have Creo tool? Traditional drawings seems inevitable if you have multiple suppliers across world.
