The best part about the series was the theme tune (not heard here). Such a dark theme, yet the show itself was lightweight (like Moore's interpretation of Bond) almost camp.

Tony Curtis died with $60Million and left nothing to his 6 children. Not a dollar. Instead he agreed if Jill Vandenberg stayed with him till death (10 years) she would get the lot. She was 29 years old when she married him. Effectively paying $60M for an escort to death. Most vain man in hollywood

One of my favourite episodes of the persuaders ! About people changing with time and how life changes friendships....Also very reminiscant to Tony Curtis' real childhood in the bronx ! Just like in the flashbacks here...I think he lost his young brother in a feak accident.

More tv gold. Great series and I loved it back in the day. Friday nights in the early 1970s were not complete without watching the Persuaders. Goodness knows how they managed to convice Tony Curtis and Roger Moore to star in tv series together.

I remember watching this when it was first on TV, although I only saw a few episodes. When it began on Friday, September 17, 1971, I was almost 8 years old and just beginning grade 3. I couldn’t follow the plot, but I liked the action. By the time the show ended after 24 episodes on Friday, February 25, 1972, I was 2/3rds through grade 3 and 8 & 1/3 years old. I never did get to see all the episodes. But, it did get my attention and I wondered about it years later.

I heard about this series as a kid in 1971. I've never seen an episode until just now. Ha! I see that I didn't miss much. Tony Curtis was a no talent "pretty boy" and a "has been" by 1971. He ruins this show. He can't act worth beans. Even the filming in France doesn't help this hokey plot.

Yes the persuaders is very dated now but in 71/72 it was v glam, had tgec2 big stars, exotic locations, something of an extension of The Saint. And a 12 year old i looked forward to it every week. Got to remember that in 71 there was a lot of dull telly

@@user-ji2nx3ls5n they may have appreciated playing off each other but what about the audience that supposedly they "aim to please". Wow! You must be easily charmed. As a male watching this it is simply painful and transparently bad acting by Curtis. Moore is doing his best and is good but hammy Curtis wastes Moore's talent.
