Looks like it went pretty good for 1st outing but shud be a good hull. Would still love to see it with a 23cc gas motor. Maybe one day after u get bored 😄😉

Enjoy the hobby... But I am done with RC boats. Years ago I used to get complaints about the engine sounds coming from my boats.. so I switched to electric. Last year I was inundated with so many complaints about the sounds of my electric boats that I was dumbfounded.... That, coupled with nobody coming around to watch... I used to draw crowds, but not anymore.... I only get complaints. I am hanging up my hobby... I actually threw five boats of my in a dumpster recently. As for the five I have left remaining, I think they'll sit on the shelf for many years to come. I have about $3,000 worth of batteries that I do not know what to do with. I'll probably just shoot some nails into them so I can put them in the garbage. Nobody is interested in our sport anymore. They feel it's just noise that they should not have to deal with.

Hi there, I understand exactly what your saying, the noise can annoy people.I have found a very wide shallow river to go to where there is no one . .Sorry to hear it ended like that ,you did some great boats also your not old yet so plenty of time to find another spot to run boats later on

Just an idea.... A hw 4990 should be close to that motorsize blackjack motor... Maybe some mods to cooling jacket and your probably 40kph faster... 🤔

@paulcooper7162 its an idea i have for a future boat. Its a kind off inbetween motor size and not very expensive compared to for instance castle 1520/1717. Also lot less weight than 56 motor. Think it could be a 100mph boat with that 1650kv and have never seen anyone use it for that matter but believe it's way more suitable than the Blackjack motor on 8s... I was able to run the 1520 with normal 40size cooling jacket by enlarging bore on one side and glue/kit it permanent on motor (between ribs). Worked damn good, only damn castle motor blew its rotor...😡

@paulcooper7162 well, from the castle set the X8s survived and bought a sss to replace the castle. Honestly have more trust in a hw (or sss) motor than a castle... But think that hw4990 is over limit off that 160A esc you already got. Its normally pared to a 200A in a car. I think in a boat application that same motor probably would even need/like a bigger esc... Think a simple 4092 has enough for that hull btw. Its just depends on what you want from it i guess

@peteroosterhoff8850 Yes 4092 is perfect for this boat.I do have a new Hobbywing Max4 HV 300A ESC with the marine conversion kit if I need to upgrade.I sold this boat and never changing the blackjack 42 motor and ESC combination is perfect together

If I have same rated motor but says 8s capable is it useable with 12s?? 🤔🤔 or only if spec sheet says it will do 12s? Just cos has lower kv doesn't mean it is rated to higher volts? (Which is generally the case) 🤔🤔

No definitely dont run 12s on a motor rated to 8s.This motors 790kv can run even higher voltage safely also it's a big motor

Yeah mine is same size and same kV but for truck and did say 8s but was surprised to see it would only do 8s think. Need to check the brand again

No it's ZTW200A ESC and runs 8s with ABC 1917-1745 prop for a few laps or with a smaller prop ABC 1716-1745

Love my V1 its taken loads of abuse, the only way my self righting as failed me was the 6s disconnecting and flying out of position making the weight balance off. I fixed that with some foam

Hi Paul, I have ordered a 45mm 1.6 propeller for my Joysway Invincible Razor... it is the mk1 with the stock 4563 1800kv motor. I don't know the original propeller but that hull is similar to this one... what do you think of the propeller?

My record on this boat with the motor SSS 4082 200 kW 6s - 134 km/h. Propeller ABS 1817. With the new setup on the TP4060 the speed is already 155 km/h.

I'm amazed you run such a small lipo with such a big motor! Why don't you run a bigger capacity? You will probably have less voltage drop, and therefore more speed! Great build again ✌️
