I love how my brothers, & sisters in humanity, commented on this clip here. They've expressed what I felt long ago about this scene. Oh merciful God. It melts me every time I watch it. Even after so many times of thinking that I will never feel this fever of love again.

Just the way he looks at her, than he turns his face the moment she looks away says everything. ❤ They both are in love with each other. She keeps her eyes on him the entire time she's dressing. He's gripping tightly, and feels her eyes on him. Not one word was spoken but you feel the tension between them. But his laugh is so adorable. "Not anymore it isn't." 1:11 ❤❤

The way his face changes when he catches a glimpse of her while she swings her legs over, like he is suddenly humbled, helpless, breathless and vulnerable to desire and love, while trying to restrain it all in the name of propriety. I think this scene is him at his most attractive. Such a romantic and sensual scene. I have experienced her exact emotion, a yet unfulfilled love so passionate that anger and indignance are its only recourse.

The thing about this film is that it's shot almost like a dream. Everything just seems to "glow" and perhaps, I'd like to think, it was intentional, knowing that at the end, it's because it's telling their story. It's made to draw you in and well, rip you apart at the end, I suppose. Very beautifully written and acted--the cinematography was impecable--the costume design--the score--all of it. Grandiose...
