Great review. Thinking about buying one. Does the tiller handle fold up on these things? If I have a dude that wants to fish the back deck of my boat, is he going to be fighting the handle the entire time? Would be sold if the handle folds up out of the way. Thanks.

@WKY Blue-Collar Outdoors I wanted your opinion on this product since you already bit the bullet. I am trying to not have a gun box in my boat because I need the space to put people down on the floor going to the hole in the mornings (classic case of trying to take too much stuff in as little of a boat as possible to weave through the trees at a gazillion MPH in the dark). I need to hold 4 guns in cases, 1 or 2 paddles, decoy hook stick, rear running light (that I don't ever use in public flooded timber), old backup spot light on a stick. Do you think this product will hold this amount of "stuff"?
@wkyblue-collaroutdoors2152
@wkyblue-collaroutdoors2152 5 ай бұрын
@Laughinghawg this product would have a hard time holding that many guns in cases with your other equipment. It has very wide sleeves, but I think 4 guns in cases w/paddles and hooks would not work. It would probably hold 2, maybe 3 plus your other equipment. What we can say is this product is very well made and tough. Only negative is camo fades quickly. Several zipper pockets and flaps help with smaller gear. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comment
@Laughinghawg
@Laughinghawg 5 ай бұрын
@@wkyblue-collaroutdoors2152 Thanks for the quick reply. It helps a lot. As far as the camo fading, that's what they make camo burlap for. Does the job and it's inexpensive. Even though it seems like everything we have in and on the boat is cameoed we still keep camo burlap in the boat. Some habits are hard to kill. Have a great weekend!

@wkyblue-collaroutdoors2152
@wkyblue-collaroutdoors2152 7 ай бұрын
@williamcarter746 we transport our dogs in the sleds pretty easily but usually don’t launch in and out in the flooded timber. We can see the struggle where the sled would not be steady enough for stable in and out. If you hunt a lot of flooded timber, try an old Baker deer stand on a tree or a raised platform blind like Momarsh. We train all year with those. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comment.

I’ve had a banded chair for four or five years now and I use mostly use it for dove hunting about five days per year. I weigh about 200 lbs and the chair is comfortable and has held up well. It is light enough that I can pretty easily pack the chair, a backpack containing a several mojo decoys and a decoy tree, plus a bucket with shells, gear, and water into a blind.

Your comment about 55 pounds of thrust being enough is spot on! I use mine exclusively for low speed maneuvering while fishing in a 16’ boat. I use #3 power setting or less 95% of the time. On the rare occasion that there is too much wind for how I use a trolling motor, I fire up the outboard and then use the Minn Kota like a bow thruster to keep from getting blown off course. Thanks for the video!

Honestly, our hunting crew has moved on to using Gator Waders almost exclusively. The Rogers brand were beginning to leak after 1-2 years use. So far, the Gators have held up better, less returns. We still have one Rogers hold out bc they are less expensive. Also, the Gators have a permanent liner, cannot remove like Rogers. 1600 gram boots are very warm and comfortable but only come in even sizes. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comment.

Hey Jeffrey, thanks for the question. I am 5’10” 300lbs, 58” chest 44x30 pant and these fit me with plenty of room in the chest. I usually buy a size 12 for a warmer foot and more chest room. The waders come long but not too bad to wear. Custom waders are great but expensive. USIA Drysuits is probably the best for custom but they were in transition with new owners the last time I spoke with them. Hope this helps.

I’m actually pretty disappointed with the new UA base layers. The originals were soooo much better. The originals only went up to 3.0. My mom got me the shirt for $70 more than 15 years ago. Best and warmest thing I’ve ever worn as far as layers are concerned. Amazingly durable, too. I’m wearing mine as I type this. Got it in college. I’m 39 now. So sad when all the best stuff you love seems to always get discontinued or revamped to save money at the expense of quality.
