Guys, I have method, the method wasnt founded by me, it was from the youtuber called JWhisp, You can dig straight down but you need subtitles, if you found or hear lava pops and water flows. There has to be diamonds, It worked so well, after that I found 4 diamonds in my survival world 1.12.2

YOu ACTUALLY suck at Minecraft. Lava is EXTREMELY common in levels 9-12, but it can actually spawn on any level, even at the surface. (an overlook by Mojang) If you go straight down, you can fall into a lava pool and lose all your stuff. A more smart way to do this is to dig in a straight down in a 1x2 area, standing in between the blocks. That way if you see lava, you can stand on the other block. (Edit: This is NOT the most efficient way to strip mine, I suggest you research your information before you post something online.)
