Yes. For smaller yards 1/3 or less of sn acre. And if you need something lightweight with a bagger that's not Self-propelled.

You have to register it to get the discharger feature? How long does that take to get?

@@zinnstigertownmowers780 I went on and registered. It takes 3-4 weeks to get the chute. Right now we just have ours rigged till we get it.

Best you use true fuel or find a gas station that sells non ethanol fuel. Yes, feel the true fuel is worth the price because regular gas will clog that plastic Briggs carb for sure. Look for videos of how to clean your plastic Briggs carb because engine will not start, and you will see what I mean. Tons of them.

I learned a lot from your video but wondered: Do you have to remove the blade and the belt guard? Would it be possible to just slip the new belt over the blade and walk the belt onto the pulley? I realize that it would be necessary to remove the belt guard over the transmission pulley. That would save a lot of hassle.

I'm used to taking the blade off when I do it. I always take out the guards too. Thr blade needed sharpened anyhow

An alright engine. Not really worth fixing unless its something minor but they seem to last longer than the decks theyre put on. I know i kinda beat down on them a little but honestly theyre not bad

GOD often shows me how we are given everything we need, if we but open our eyes. Last summer my push mower gave up the ghost. I don't have a lot of money and didn't want to buy a new one, so I hoped to find a used one. Grass season was soon upon me this year, and I bemoaned having procrastinated finding a mower....but then I thought that I'd look around my house and yard to see if I had anything to work with. I have an old push mower that someone gave me years ago that has an excellent deck and wheels, but a torn-apart motor. And it struck me....that motor looks like the one on an old power washer my brother gave me 15 years ago, which has barely been used. As it turns, it was the exact same motor that was on the lawnmower, and all I had to do was swap it out! Fresh gas, 4 pulls, and I'm mowing grass! By the way, I'm the prophesied return of the biblical prophet Elijah. Yes, those times are upon us. An anti-Christ is trying to become President of the United States in November, and I'll leave it to you to figure out who that is....

I just now discovered that on older self-propelled MTD Professional series mowers, they are built with do-it-yourself ratchet assembly kit that have a plate, pawl, and ratchet gear fastened on both the rear wheel and rear axle behind the hubcap. Them older mowers are real different from mowers of today.

Honestly anymore you might be lucky to get 5 years out of a mower. With proper care on them older ones I say you get 10+

@@zinnstigertownmowers780 yes sir, I can see why they don't make lawn mowers of older classes anymore. Their maintenance are on a high level due to their complexity of parts and accessories that makes it difficult to figure out what the issue is. The lawn mowers of today have easier maintenance!

@mwand89 ya I csn agree. My family owned this mower 8yrs. I used it to go house to house and cut yards thats what hurt the self-propelled unit on here. I still love this way better than the newer Cub Cadet variant where they have a plastic front where the caster arms slip into

Honestly, since I have a 15 and a half year old 22" Craftsman 550 series Silver Edition that's still in great working condition, I've never used any newer styled lawn mowers. The only newer styled lawn mower I have is a 5 year old 21" Snapper 82v that's still in great working condition, but the only issue is that the cheaply made rubber flap have torn off and so I bought a new flap for it.
