Bless your hearts! Tears are streaming down my face. My wife and I have provided a home for ten former racing greyhounds. We completely agree that the animals know they are rescued. I grew up around horses. Magnificent creatures!

Draft horses are awesome. We have a Shire mare that I brought home when she was 4 months old. Former owners didn't want her because she only had 3 white socks and the 4th was black. When first visiting her, she bonded with me instantly. When I left to go bring back my horse trailer, she carried-on a bit as I was leaving, and she became excited when I returned. We soon got a 4-month-old Morgan filly because she didn't get along too well with her barn mates. She and the Shire mare are best buddies today.

Large draft mix horses are raised for beef in western canada. They are flown live to Japan in wooden crates built around them as they stand terrified on the tarmac at the airport. The market in Japan is for fresh horse meat not frozen which is why these animals must endure all this horror in their last days if life

I understand some animals can be pets and some have to work. But to have a living being working for you, providing food for you, for years... and then in the end you just sell them to be killed so that you can get a few more extra bucks. The only thing these people deserve is to end up with no money at all!

You all are the horses heroes. God bless you all. I would love to volunteer. Looking for places up here. My dad was a horse whisperer to me. He never believed in whips or forcing horses.

The sweetest horse I’ve ever known was a beautiful chestnut draft horse who we got from an auction after he aged and couldn’t plow anymore. Was very gentle guy as a girl felt like riding an elephant, now I know how we probably saved him from becoming meat ; bless these badass ladies
@kathleendaugherty42183 жыл бұрын
I agree with you 100%, no horse should end up in a kill pen. It is hard to turn around this throw away mentality some people have. This majestic, noble animal deserves the best life possible and a death with dignity. Thank you for providing that.

Can’t believe (well unfortunately I can but wish I didn’t) that a Norwegian Fjord horse was there. For someone to go to the effort to track down such a rare breed and then neglect them is astonishing.

HERE'S A SOLUTION.MARKETING: WHY WOULD ANYONE EAT HORSEMEAT OF THEY KNEW HOW SICK THE SLAUGHTER HORSES ALREADY ARE? COOKING OF RED MEAT DOES NOT ALWAYS KILL OFF THE VIRUSES AND BACTERIA. SO, LET'S SAY I EAT A HORSE STEAK WHEN THE ORIGINAL HORSE ALREADY HAD EYE CANCER OR WORSE. HOW IS THAT HORSE STEAK EVEN A HEALTHY FOOD PRODUCT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION? OR RACE HORSES FULL OF BUTTE? HOW ARE THEY EVEN HEALTHY ENOUGH TO BE EATEN? UCK. THE WHLOLE BUSINESS IS JUST DISGUSTING!
@lindanorris24554 жыл бұрын
MAYBE PEOPL.E SHOULD JUST STOP EATING HORSE MEAT. THE WHOLE BUSINESS IS DISGUSTING!
