Useful... feels like working on my mini (hammering, finding the odd bit I can't account for that falls on the carpet, etc.!). I'm swapping out a RHD pedal box mounted on the left after a conversion to a proper LHD box... good to watch this first! Cheers! Grant

Are they meant to move abit side to side? I have a set of avonbar rockers and one of them does this, wasn’t sure if that was right though.
@Sternhammer89 Жыл бұрын
Sorry thought id replied to this. When I built mine I was getting advice from Kieth Calver. As they are held in position by springs you are going to get a bit of lateral movement. When resting you want to try and aim to get the rocker central on the valve stem.

I’m in process of removing pedal box the two rear bolts came out sweet as a nut but those two front bolts have been sheared off , there are two nuts on top but can’t get behind to loosen them .
@Sternhammer89 Жыл бұрын
Can you give me a bit more detail, e.g. where abouts in the video (time). do you mean the four studs that hold the master cylinder on? They should be studs welded to the top of the pedal box. If they are bolts then either yours is different or someone has drilled out the studs and used bolts? You could carefully grind them off?

Hi, this was such a long time ago. I would used an Arduino to control the motor. Take a look for driving a stepper motor with and Arduino.

Nice video. I am planning on filling a 20 gallon gas tank with CA/water solution to get the inside clean. Seems the most economical route, plus I can dump out into containers for future projects. Cheers!

This is a DIY job and I don't have a tank of Phosphoric Acid, but thanks for the tip. Does the Phosphoric Acid coat the metal?
@josepeixoto33842 жыл бұрын
@@Sternhammer89 not really, what it does is it converts every spec of rust onto a black deposit that,after washing well,you can paint over; it is called"Naval Jelly" and i use it on my boat and car repairs; just amazing stuff.

The lathe looks like it’s running the wrong way, but if you look at the material it’s turning towards the top of the tool, not away from it.
@court23793 жыл бұрын
It really does look backwards, but it is a trick due to the sampling rate of the camera frames. You can see a small chip peel off the top of the tool as confirmation.

It is carbide tooling, it doesn't have to have coolant at these cutting speeds. Not that it doesn't help, but isn't always required.

@court23793 жыл бұрын
@@Sternhammer89 Odd, you can see it burnishing the metal so is rubbing on the face, and the cutting edge is not really digging in. Try setting it a little low, but don't cut all the way to the center as it will grab when you get close and mess the tool up and probably the part. The cutting edge isn't chipped?

How much is needed for a 5 gallon gas can?
@Sternhammer893 жыл бұрын
I think I stated somewhere 125g per litre of water, so it depends on how big your container is (the one you are putting the 5 gallon gas can in) and how much water is need to fully cover the can. So check first.

I made this 5 years ago, no file to share really. Just use a search engine to find a suitable picture that you want to animate. Edit the picture using an image editor to create the four sprites (head, mouth and eyes). The simply use the "move" and "go to x: y:" blocks in Scratch to animate the image.

Thanks for the comment. I have just updated the information above and linked the Instructable which will give you more info within which is the link to the code. The autonomous version shown in this video worked great but when I tried to add a manual web control that's where I got stuck. The video streaming from the camera and web interface was no problem its just the controls are not fine enough. This may be a problem with the delays between on and off over the i2c link between the Pi and the Arduino and maybe making this Pi based only would fix it?
@CASANOVAGUEST7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for updating it! :) and yeah I think using just the Pi would be one way of sorting that out yes, I think the arduino sometimes causes itself problems when trying to work with the higher processing speed of the pi. I'll be doing a manual control application or site for mobile as well as autonomous so if I have any breakthroughs I'll let you know!
