Man, I was stationed in Il for 7 years. I kinda miss it. Only 45 mins away from STL. I used to go to shows at The Pageant or Pops, the City Museum, Arch Lacledes Landing, etc...*Update Wait, were you at Pour @322? With the blue door? Dude, I used to go there all the time, in Belleville. Do they still have that very eccentrically decorated bathroom? I was stationed at Scott AFB. I still have some candles I bought from Grimm and Gorly. From there, I'd go east over to Fairview Heights and hit up the Guitar Center, Mall, Slackers, etc...Not hat I expect you to know those areas, but this is a bit of a trip to my past.*Extra update DUDE! I am familiar with Terra Haute too, as my 95 Oldsmobile Aurora's alternator died and I managed to make it to Terra Haute and was stuck there for two days back in the day... but more importantly...You were in Mansfield! One of my exes used to live in Ashland, Ohio (About 20-30 mins away) I have spent many weeks there and in Ontario. I used to go the the Barnes and Nobles and Meijer a lot. There is also an awesome Mexican restaurant in Ontario called El Campestre. I've also turned the Reformatory too! They have a bunch if Shawshank props too! Of note, I do prefer Ohio Amish country over by Millersburg, Berlin, Sugarcreek, etc...( and a little bit of Wooster too, though Colombus, Akron, Canton, etc are enjoyable too). There is a bookstore in Wooster Ohio called Books in Stock and it was next to a cool little basement coffee shop called The Undergound. I'd hang out in those two for a few hours every time I rolled through Wooster...good times. P.S. Sorry foe the book...but this video was exciting to me due to all of the nostalgia.

Yes! I do have a great cozy mystery series for you. Love them. Jennifer David Hesse’s Autumn Alibi and the rest. Just read In the Company of Witches. Started slow but picked up last half. That book was more character plot than a usual cozy mystery.

Lol, there is bookstore in downtown Annapolis that claims to be the oldest...On another note. Your vlogs are so wholesome and lowkey. I find myself gravitating to your vlogs because they seem so genuine. Like the KZbin of old. People just recording themselves living their lives. Relatable and not nearly as fake or curated-feeling. I live near D.C. and my job is pretty stressful sometimes, so it's a nice escape for me to see how much more relaxed your life is in comparison. On a coffee shop note, I have my favorites...I go to the same coffee shop in Annapolis every Saturday. Creature of habit, I suppose.

Trust me when I say you need to read the Bailey Cates A Magical Bakery Mystery series. If you have Libby you may find them all on there.. that’s where I read them. The main character, Katie Lightfoot, decides to move to Savannah Georgia to help run her aunt’s bakery. She finds out she’s a witch like her aunt and mom (who never told her) so she joins her aunt’s coven who meet in the bakery. In each book there’s a murder that she’s roped into helping solve. It’s super cute and cozy and I think you’d really like them!

I'm currently reading the Anatomist's Wife by Anna Lee Huber which I am enjoying and think you might like. It's about a woman solving a murder in a Scottish castle during the Victorian period. The really interesting aspect of it is that her former husband was prosecuted for stealing bodies to study (hence the title) and forced her to help him by sketching the remains because she is an artist. Even though she was found innocent of helping him by the court she is still considered a social pariah and is accused by the house guests of being the murderer. And of course there is a swoony love interest lol. It's the first in a series and I"m looking forward to reading more.

I am soooo picky about vampire fiction. I have rules. And I almost didn't read Discovery of Witches because I didn't want to be disappointed. Again. I worked in a library when the book was released, and, after handling copy after copy, I finally gave it a try. I think I screamed "Alleluia!" loud enough for my ancestors to hear. The television series is delicious. Matthew Goode as a vampire. What's not to love? And the new book, The Black Bird Oracle, has me quaking with envy that my tarot cards don't shuffle themselves and form their own spreads. Thank you for including the series in your recommendations!

Lol, I visit Big Lots, TJ Maxx, or Homegoods almost weekly. I typically go for the discount food items that I can't typically find anywhere else. One of my favorite things from all of my girl friends is when they geek out over things like pillows, towels, soap dispensers, etc...It always makes me laugh inside. Such an innocuous thing, but it sets a tone. As a guy, my place looks like a super hooked up dorm room...I have no sense for decorating a home. *Edit The decorations legit look super nice! I just can't wrap my head around it...I would have never thought to purchase all of the towels, pillows, fake leaves, etc...*Last edit* Duude, first time seeing The Craft? That's a 90's classic. A bunch of my friends would try to play "Light as a feather, stiff as a board.", back in the day.
