The other 10 cylinders were damaged beyond repair, so it’s a good way to make use of it. But I guess why not!?

This is the best big engine bike ever. I have seen a usa bike that has a 400cubic inch V8 engine. That’s 6,544cc!

I remember seeing this bike on 60 Minutes Australia somewhere around 1980 (I was 9). It was built in his garage, if memory serves.... It's responsible for my love of riding big bikes (It was a "I wanna do THAT" moment lol).

What an awesome trip. Just wondering if you have some advice. I’m buying the Africa twin soon and I’m not sure to get the dct es or the manual transmission. I’m wanting to do the trip to kurumba from northern nsw. Even a Darwin trip I’ve already done the cape but will do again. Is the dct ec too much technology? Too many that can go wrong? Or is it a comfort worth having? Asking you because your doing what I want to do. Thanks and have a good one.

The front forks and swing arm tell you this bike was built to remain a static. It’s something to hold the engine.

I can't believe how smooth it is. I figured those two monsters Pistons would vibrate the heck out of it. Several magnitudes less vibration than I thought there would be.

I think I remember this bike or a similar one from a magazine in the late 80s. It was Australian I think and in the photo it had a tiny red petrol tank from a childs Honda scrambler or something. 🙂
