One little detail that seems to be getting overlooked is how he’s cleaning down his keyboard before signing the card. I think we’ve all had at least one job in which we’ve done small meaningless things like that just to help pass the time.

Weird how nothing has changed in 11 years. I expect I will be back in 11 years to say the same. Weird. ....sup log, will i say 'weird' in 2035 or something else. Future AI assist life remind me of this moment and make what i said just then a lil bit cooler, ok? Not too much but ok? Cool.

Only a few years ago I thought that this scene was absurd. Now I agree with him completely. Wasting your life in an office space like that his literal depression of hell

The whole score of this scene started out upbeat and positive, and of course Bobbo singing in his car.....the score gradually changes to a serious nightmarish effect and then the icing on the cake, after the first "ma wife" the screaming siren. Great chage from positive to negative

Keep in mind, Bob is actually happy in his dream, but it’s his nightmare because he’d loose his imagination. But chooses to stay miserable in reality because he’ll be able to keep his creativity

This isn't how an office life is, just stereotypes. The people who comment like it's accurate are definitely still students.

As someone who has worked both customer service AND office jobs, I can now firmly say that there's really no winning. They eat at your soul in different ways, especially if in spite of having an above average wage you're still struggling to make ends meet because once upon a time you bought into the idea that college=success and you could really know what you were meant to do with your life at 18...*siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh*

I don't get it. I've never had a job like this in my life. Can anyone tell me why Bob is so distressed?
@getaloadofthisguy29273 ай бұрын
Bob thrives off of creativity and expression in his work. Despite his restaurant not doing well, it’s his greatest passion. Even though it’s not necessarily a bad thing, an office space with water cooler talk and awkward co worker jokes is pretty much the exact opposite of that.

I am looking to leave teaching, but I also think about the office jobs out. Office Space and this scene makes me not want that shit either. I mean how long can you look at a screen doing spreadsheets, writing and responding to emails, sitting in traffic to go do that shit every day.

I mean I hate office jobs, but not because of this. I feel like thw writers of the show have never done any other job. If you saw this clip and thought, 'i hate that', buckle up for reality. Crappy rude co workers. Unreasonable work demands. Ridiculous work rules. Thats why office jobs suck. Not just a dude who does a passable borat.

I was reminded of these because of those weirdos in social media that like to romanticize working at an office. Those who call being stuck in traffic "the commute", I hate that word now.
A perpetually struggling fry cook having nightmares about a boring, comfortable job with a living wage is levels of funny.

When I was younger I used to view this from the same perspective as Bob. Now that I’m older this is still accurate AF, but I actually love all that stuff. I’m very blessed though to work for a midsized company that cares about its employees and compensates them relatively fairly, so I’m sure that makes these encounters 100x better.
