My recommendations would vary by the customer. Some customers want a machine as narrow as possible with as much lift capacity as they can get, for us that machine is the IR1300. I have some customers who prefer the IR1200 because they want a machine that is a little bit wider for stability. As far as the specs, the IR1300 is a stronger machine with a higher auxiliary flow rate, upgraded drive motors, and a heavier duty bucket with a narrower frame for getting into tighter areas. The IR1200 has a slightly higher hinge pin height, and has shown itself to be slightly faster than the IR1300. Both of these machines have moved around much heavier loads for us than they are rated for, and they have many similarities. As of right now the price difference between the IR1200 and IR1300 is about $2000.

The standard track size for the IR1000 is 200x72x45, but this track we installed is a narrow track at 180x72x45.

At 39.5" wide this machine is wider that many other narrow machines that are 36" wide such as the MT100 narrow track or the scl1000. Best practice when operating on a hill is traveling straight up and down and keeping your load down low. However, if you want a wider machine, the IR1000 is 42" wide at the tracks, or 43" wide if you upgrade to 9" tracks.

As with all things, take it easy and familiarize yourself with your tools.

The first things I would check are track tension, the terrain you are working on, and check for any damage to the track that may cause it to come off the sprocket. If all those things look good, you should check the alignment of your rollers, and the wear on your sprockets. Running into hard surfaces like curbs and large rocks could cause damage to rollers and over tensioning of tracks can cause the sprocket to wear faster, both of these things could cause tracks to come off.

Yes, this auger is running at its max speed for this machine. This extreme duty CID Auger is now only made for Skid Steers that have a higher flow rate than most mini skid steers have.

Typically that is just needing to tighten the bolt on the side of the throttle.

Does that mean it tends to tip or break down?

While we have lifted more than 500# with the IR480 the machine does tip forward easier when you have a higher load than it is rated for. We had a customer send a video back to us of him lifting the back end of his truck with this machine.
