My mom wasn't fond of it when we got a dog, we got a toyfox terrier. But she is absolutely terrified of mice and rats. One time a mice got loose at our cottage, our dog killed it instantly and ever since my mom has loved our dog more than her kids xD The dog is always on my moms lap and sleeps with her.

My JR terrier used to telepathically lure roaches 🪳 to him and when they got close enough he would step on them and pull a leg off then let them go only to step on them again and pull another leg off , repeating until the roach had no legs . At this point my dog would roll on top of the legless roach smiling and laughing his ass off . True story. I never saw a roach in my house unless my dog was luring it to it’s death. Terriers are natural hunters.

I've had rat terriers for over 20 years and I can tell you, they are patient and willing to wait they are quick, and there isn't a rodent alive that can escape! I love my little terriers!

Funny thing that happened to me today: I let my dog in the backyard and I just left them out there for like ten mins, I tried to let him back in but he wouldn’t come in so I let him stay out there. He came into the patio but didn’t bark like he usually did, and then I seen him and let him in, I seen him on the couch with something in his mouth which I thought was a stick but it, was, a, fresh, DEAD, MOUSE IN HIS MOUTH😭 but since I didn’t know it I grabbed it with my hand and it was warm and squishy🤭 and he’s a mix between a Pomeranian, chihuahua, and miniature poodle so I wasn’t expecting him to hunt that down and kill it- and that happened today 😬

My girl is a Jack Russell mix and she's killed two mice in our house already. Making sure to give her lots of treats for every mouse she catches!

Such a patient hunter.. Good boy! Between traps and my cat, 13 mice down in the last 6 days.. Infestations suck! The "ewww, don't let him eat it!" in the background is priceless.
