Thanks for sharing Tamy 💕 My takeaway from this video... Physical beauty has its place, but inner beauty is most important. Look good outwardly, but even more importantly, look good on the inside.

"Men are strong and women are weak" There was a time I really got pressed thinking about this. Then I arrived at the conclusion: what defines strength anyway? Is it being able to lift heavy weights, being able to fight, being able to protect? That's probably the conventional perception of strength and the masculine perception of strength. But there's many types of strengths aside from physical strength. What about emotional strength? Mental strength and spiritual strength? The ability to manage your emotions and have resilience in life is strength. Having a healthy self esteem is also strength. What about the feminine perception of strength? Being kind and empathetic is strength. Nurturing relationships with people is just as good as protecting the community. Having empathy and consoling someone during a hard time is just as good as fighting a threat to the community. And if we have to compare physical strength in men and women. Then what about bearing children? Being able to nurture a living being inside the body and later on deliver it into the world almost at the risk of her life, that's also strength. In conclusion, being a girl, who isn't strong in the conventional masculine sense, doesn't mean girls are weak. Girls and women are strong because strength comes in many forms.
@TamyTee18 күн бұрын
Omg you said it so perfectly and beautifully. I too got annoyed when people who say things like “you throw like a girl “ . Yeah biologically (physically) men might be stronger and be able to lift more weights but what about women giving birth? And emotional strength/regulation, self control etc is something women are stronger and better at. Even the Bible says “A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls.” (Proverbs 25:28 NLT) Girls and women are strong indeed!

I was always a girly girl in school. I didn't even like sports, and I got bullied by the other girls for this as well as always wearing dresses. They were always in jeans and seemed to hate dresses! I wear pants now, but I must have a girly top and hair accessory to go with them. Dresses are still my favorite! 😊🩷🩷♥️♥️

Genetics plays a role in whose hair breaks off easily I notice a lot of people who have dense, thick strands are making videos as if everywhere has these same type of strands. Fine kinky hair breaks religiously for no reason. Genetics plays a role in how well your hair can thrive and how much more you have to do to keep hair on your head.
@zenmovement6551Ай бұрын
I agree with this but I also urge people to see a trichologist I’ve got naturally fine strands but after trichology I’ve been able to retain more length

I agree that we shouldn’t treat our hair like other types of hair Everyone’s hair has different characteristics that affect hair growth But I’ve seen many women who had hair struggles and even medical issues and when they took the time to improve their health, learn their hair,embrace it as well as adopting good hair care practices their hair grew Including women with slow hair growth rates and anaemia This is not meant to judge anybody but rather encourage Thanks for your comment

Growth and retention are two different things. I agree but just remember the difference
@doll.ov.poetrii468216 күн бұрын
I have fine, low density, 4A/4B natural hair from BIRTH and I'm about to hit mid back length. I'm not struggling anymore with my hair once I learned to be super gentle with my hair type to stop the breakage and I learned what works for me. I literally treat my hair like a bouquet of flowers or a small baby lol If the fine hair naturalistas are struggling to have healthy, length retaining hair then it's not because their hair is fine, it's simply because they just don't know what they're doing. That's what it all boils down to. I am not mixed race, I am a bi-ethnic (Ghanian father, African American mother) dark skinned black woman.

I don't think anybody denies that Black women can grow long hair. I do believe more Black women would do it if they stopped ruining their hair with unncesarry unnatural styles and harsh products. Even a lot of what is considered "protective" ends up putting too much tension on the scalp and interferes with the natural growth process.
@TamyTeeАй бұрын
There are still people that believe otherwise
@thewordsmith5440Ай бұрын
But some women can only grow their hair in protective styles that you put in quotes because their hair breaks from constantly taking it out an restyling so yes wigs and weaves can grow long hair because you don't have to rebraid or retwist or comb your hair for a month or two or however long you keep the braids in. We can't talk about women always wearing their natural hair without honest conversations about black American women especially being penalized at work and other places for not having perfect hair and showing up with fuzzy cornrows and twist can be detrimental to her finances and career.
@TamyTee29 күн бұрын
@@thewordsmith5440I understand you. In general we need protective styles for length retention I personally don’t think we always have to wear our hair out , my hair thrives when I leave it in mini braids/twists and I wear wigs as well Constant manipulation isn’t good for a lot of us The video is just trying to say that we can grow long hair because for a long time we believed we couldn’t Thanks for your comment

I understand. And about the weight loss…I get that you may not like how your body looks now but just remember this…eating healthy and working out to get to a healthier body weight is a sign of self love and care When you do it with this mindset, it’s sustainable. Weight loss is like a marathon,you may have days of progress as well as set backs here and there but it’s the love and care for yourself that will help you keep going Another tip that may help is your “why” . Anytime you want to give up,remember why you’re losing weight in the first place? Is it health? Aesthetics? It can be anything really Because even when you do get to your goal weight,if you still carry self hate,you’ll still look for something “wrong “ with your body In the meantime,take good care of other parts of your life ie school,work,relationships and mental health God bless you sis ❤❤

Most of the images of the women here are not modest. They are wearing too much and costly clothing which is not therefore modest. Please read from the Authorized King James Bible. What is decent clothing? What if someone is poor and naked? Scripture does not even condemn nudity. Isaiah went nude for 3 years. About the word, "modest". To dress modestly means not to wear too much costly or showy clothing. It does not mean that if a woman wears too little she is being immodest. It's not the actual body parts that are lewd. It's the behaviour or sensual expressions of the body or the intent behind the clothing or lack of it that may be lewd. Covering the body partially might be worse than exposing it entirely or more effectively be lewd, because the woman might allure through her clothing as a seductress. A person's face might actually be lewd, while the most intimate part might not be lewd to see. Because the natural appearance of the body does not cause lust. The visible or outward parts of the body are created with ornaments that are designed by God to be aesthetically pleasing. They don't cause lust. Lust has to do with one's appetites or happens in not caring to restrain it and in not showing respect, and not with seeing anything in its natural state. But how your mind is trained to think might inspire lust. For example, in the past how women covered their ankles because men might find them lewd, is because of too much clothing, and not because of a lack of it. So were ankles ever lewd to see? No, but it was the covering of them that suggested to the mind that seeing them would create lust, and so when uncovered, the brain is deceived into thinking they are lewd. So what is normal dress? Whatever happens to be suitable. It is normal for people to wear pants. But it actually isn't normal to have any covering for breasts, unless it is to keep warm. Women think that their breasts are lewd to see. That is a big lie. They never can be anymore than ankles. The reason men would always want to see breasts, is because they are so beautiful. So they should be exposed. The reason is because they are the greatest ornaments God ever made and were made for visual display. Also, the appreciation of beauty actually destroys lust. So seeing the beauty of female breasts for example, would greatly work against lust, because the emotional effect they have is profound. And appreciating visual beauty is experienced on an emotional level, whereas lust is on a sensual level. Therefore in appreciating beauty, lust is destroyed. Look at the Song of Songs, in the true Authorized King James Bible. Female breasts are sung about and exalted greatly. It even speaks of the breasts being sucked by the man in romantic love, and they are spoken of as being juicy. This is not even lewd language. If it were, it would not be in the Bible. Our upbringing is not what determines truth. Truth is in God. In some tropical places in the world you can see people with hardly anything on, and people live topless. There are no men lusting after topless women. There is normally no such thing as a topless woman, because she has breasts. 🙂
