Done this in the 1960s with 2 wooden framed stretch canvas canoes, 2 of us, one in a single seater and one in a 2 seater, both very heavy and we paddled all the way into the Trent by clifton bridge

How have these held up over the last couple of years? Thinking of setting a set and building up some wheels for my hardtail as 26" wheelsets dont seem to exist anymore.

Hey brother. Please share your thoughts. Is it worth getting? I would like to replace 10-year old RockShox Dart 3 which is almost rigid)

*I love this kayakσσ>**share4.photo/RiotKayak?Ӗㅋ** Easy for me to paddle around in. I feel stable sitting in it; although I do stick to the lakes & slower moving waters.*

It's been 9 months since your post so I'll ask you the same question since you've probably already gotten them by now. How are they?

Hi, how do the v6 hubs compared to hope pro 2 evo?
@javelin17016 жыл бұрын
Hi, the finish of the anodizing and the design/ servicing are very similar. The end caps for the front hub are a little loose in comparison to pro 2s. Probably not as noisy as the pro II either. I plan to do a more long term review in a couple of months, be sure to watch.

@javelin17016 жыл бұрын
pretty good, I have been out trail running with it on my head and it didn't loosen.

javelin1701 thanks, i got a hope district for the rear and an exposure toro for the front, do you always wear a helmet when out on trail?
@javelin17016 жыл бұрын
Hi I also have an exposure light and they are brilliant! I usually run handlebar front light and smaller light on the helmet for riding trails in the dark.

Downtube shifting? What's it like? :D
@javelin17017 жыл бұрын
One bike I built was a fixie ( so not downtube shifters to contend with). The other bike had downtube shifters. It can be a bit fiddly finding the gear and its pretty much impossible to change gear if you are going for it hard up a hill.

Yo javelin1701, Nice video ! We are french riders, we work with the filmmaker GoldenHelmets, can you give us a review/commentary of our channel ? ;)
@FFSDenny7 жыл бұрын
I built up a steel framed 1985 Schwinn Tempo with modern compact gearing, but it still has friction shifting. I ride it more than my modern Felt carbon bike. Steel is real!!!

The Claud Butler is so cool. From the comments it was stolen? Looks like a more modern crankset and mtb pedals. What was the running gear? And SICK colour!!!
@javelin17017 жыл бұрын
Thanks, yes it was stolen. You haven't seen it about? it had more modern groupset parts; ultegra cranks, 600 arabesque downtube shifters, dura ace front and rear derraileurs and I think a 5 speed freewheel casette on old maillard hubs with rigida rims.

@javelin17017 жыл бұрын
There is one jump at the end of the first downhill line and there are some in a big crater in the other half of the woods. ( near the finish of the first downhill line in the video.

Where does the trail at 2.58 start from?
@jamiewelsh41798 жыл бұрын
there is a fallen tree blocking the start now, however, if you look at the vid at 0.11secs you can turn off to the right behind the rock. Follow your nose and you are on it. Took me ages to find it

Did that today! One of the best Rides I think I have ever done!How can there be so little climbing compared to the mass of wonderful downhill?!?!I don't know if everyone knows but this ride passes within an inch of the Lady Canning Go Outdoor track! ( only managed one go at it, nearly killed me.... Well worth a look, just don't be tempted to spend all day there and miss this awesome ride!)
@greensaturated20849 жыл бұрын
Not worth the money buddy. Looked cool when first seen on Sturges vid but once everyone knows how it's its done the novelty wears off. Best just having a GoPro on helmet and a guy on the bank with a decent zoomable camera then edit the two together. Your Nevis video rocks btw. More G4+ river running I say!

Keep watching this, It's great. Hope to work up to run this one day. Whats the feather angle on your paddle? I was thinking about going for a lower angle, perhaps even zero.
