i appreciate the fact that you were working in the garage and recording this while it was 107 outside LOL! thanks so much this is exactly what i needed. I'm book marking it for later. I pick mine up on the 10th and since it's in Saigon .. in JUNE.. i assume the weather will be similar <3

I sold my WRX last year but I had the UELHs from 2020 to 2023 from 40k miles to around 85k. No issues during that period with a protune.

That's where a throttle lock is nice to have. I see so many speed up and slow down while on the highway and it's impossible to follow behind them with your cruise control on. If you pass them, they always seem to speed up and pass me. WTF?

Some 600 class bikes will do 170 MPH so this was a none contest ~! My Rebel 500 never stood a chance in hell keeping up with brother-in laws Kawasaki NINJA ZX 6R. OMG 170 MPH to the Rebels 96 MPH. If you want a race bike the Rebel 500 is NOT what you want~!!!!! The fun of the Rebel is easy back road cruising while you sight see as you ride or easy safe commuting just riding around town while you are trying not to get tickets. After 2 reckless riding tickets by brother law lost his commercial trucking job and has been unemployed since. So sport bike riders are mostly immature kids that think they are invincible on the road. In my 40 years of riding I think I know of that which I speak. Secondly if those guys were your real friends they would have adjusted their speed to yours and you all would have been safer.

I have an 1100 now but this windshield was great. Easy to remove when I felt like riding without it

If u want awesome no buffeting wind protection this windshield is the best I have had in 40 years of riding~! The Slipstreamer Hellfire SS-24 windshield on Amazon is fantastic ~! I wouldn't ride my 2022 Rebel 500 SE ABS without it ~! It is wide and go out to you hand grips and I am 5"7" and the shield comes right in at eye level letting u look through or over the shield perfect for no bouncing your head around. On my install I cut off the bottom about 3 inches and connected with only the 2 top brackets but I saw a KZbin video where they connect it at the bottom as well with no cutting of the last lower 3 inches. To bad there is no way to send pictures in your comments. Nice ride I think I would have kept my revs up a little higher under the load of that hill~! I have $100 dollar Lorababber Amazon pipe that gives me more top speed and the sound to match any I have heard on our bikes. Also the T-Rex Highway bar saved my bike when this 77 year old rider dropped it a zero miles per hour. Also if you like floor board they have some great ones $28 a set on Amazon too. They just bolt on to the original rider foot pegs. Kit

Get a Slipstreamer Hellfire windshield and make you ride way more comfortable~! That is why I don't like riding with others that speed all the time. The Rebel shines as a laid back take it easy cruiser bike IMHO. My Brother in law has a crotch Rocket and he just ended his truck driving career by riding the way the two in front of your ride are showing off. Two tickets and they fired him. Looks like small egos at work to me.

Hey Boss-man, I'm looking for a windshield for my 2023 Rebel 500 SE, I read in your post: "Riding with new SpitFire windshield Honda Rebel 500 SE", dated August 11 2021, that you were looking through the windshield rather than slightly over the windshield and it kind of annoyed you having to do so. I'm the same height as you mentioned you are (5'8") so I was wondering what size windshield do/did you have on your 500 SE? Me, being the same height as you, don't want to get one that I'll be looking through either. I think 16 inches would put the top of the shield about nose height. I would prefer it to be about the bottom of my nose (I think). Any help would be appreciated. Ray

I had Slipstreamer S-06T spitfire. It's about 17 inches. I did get used to it because the wind blocking was so helpful on the freeway. Although my friends agreed with the slight annoyance, they enjoyed switching bikes during a ride cause of the windshield

Yes they have those small ones on the wall, see 0:55 to the left of the stairs. It was January when we went so we didn't use it.

Would you say it can sustain daily freeway commutes to work? Like 70-90mph

70-85 is good. It can go up to 100 but it doesn't have much passing power above those speeds
