I'd just like to add that you shouldn't use anti depressants are not worth taking in any scenario, they block your emotions and only make you worse in the long run, i know this as i have seen friends and family on them and it was like been around zombies. If you're depressed and feeling down find somebody to talk to. I know some people really find it hard but i promise anti depressants are not the answer. I have recently gained this, i say gained but its awful. I find chewing gum helps and cold drinks, trying to keep busy and keep your mind off of it which i admit is easier said than done as it really is painful.

I don’t understand why we have thousands of specifics on other bodily system diseases but for oral diseases you get really 7-10 answers. Gingivitis, gum disease 1-3, acid erosion- reflux, external, saliva, cavities, tooth infection, tooth abscess, jaw stuff- misalignment, TMJ, TMD, nerve pains- maybe 6 different ones, and that’s really it. Where’s the research on bacteria like we have for skin and gastrointestinal disorders? Gastro is largely the same. It’s a cash grab for sure and very few in the western world are doing anything about it.

Found a bee bee size thing under young I thought it was spit glam just had a thing stuck but after four moths and not going away wasn’t good sighn. It feel like a tip of a finger under tough it deflates sometimes but gets big again fast during the day my tongue on right side left of tongue length. It’s super painful and mouth burns bad. The dr tried shoving a tube size round of a cigarette down nose to look in throat but after three try’s I was like heck no you will need t put me asleep t do that So go next week for pet scan to find out more then biopsy

My doctor told me a year ago.... nothing can be done about it. 😢 The health care systems aren't much help.... it probably does go along with the aftermath of a virus... like Ebstein barr... long covid.. what is good to know... You're NOT crazy.... it's a real syndrome. I had it for about 4 years and it can be treated with Nystatin Oral which is very good but you must continue using it instead of just a one time treatment(only needed a small dose daily). It helps alot but does not cure it. I cured mine with using about 1 tablespoon of Clorox/bleach mixed with 8 oz of water and gargled (don't swallow, spit it out) with that twice a day for a couple of weeks and it has not come back. That was over 7 mos. ago. Free to eat at last!

Sorry for your loss and I appreciate your story. I just had a partial glossectomy for squamous cell cancer, all started with my Dentist observing white lesions under my tongue. Biopsy by my ENT confirmed it, caught it early, hopefully clear now. Don't delay, see something, do something.

Unless you are using an antibacterial toothpaste, not rinsing afterward will leave lots of live bacteria in your mouth, as well as a lot of the matter that they were feeding on. And I don't know (and I suspect you don't know either) the actual value of leaving the fluoride in there. Has there been any research on the advantages of not rinsing?

I got to take my mask home and will probably burn it ;) why no comments here fron patients? The side effects if 6 weeks daily radiation are brutal. I would not do it again 😢
