I have a job driving and have had 3 MOHs procedures for skin cancer. Window tint with ceramic will block most UVA and UVB but we are not allow to put even clear tint on our windshields. Will your ceramic coating reduce UVA and UVB? If so, how much? Thank you very much.

Ohhh dear, oh dear, oh dear... Another person advocating for 'semi-obscured' windshields in the rain. While one (and perhaps a half) of the statements are true, there was a complete lack of mentioning (or demonstrating) the one *BIG* downside--- *the complete smearing of the glass when you **_do_** use the wipers,* which even one pass of your wiper blades during your demonstration would have proven. Yes, the ice comes off easier, and yes, there *_may_* be less desire to use your windshield wipers, *but:* a) if you don't use your wipers, you will never have even the momentarily clear vision they afford; you will always be looking through semi-obscured glass, covered in thousands of raindrops busily scooting their way up the screen, and b) you will *_never_** have a clear windshield if you **_do_** need or want to use your wipers.* The reaction of the wipers against any type of _Rain-Ex_ or other supposedly 'rainproof coating' will render a windshield dangerously obscured when wipers are used. And *there is no rain condition, either light or heavy, in which not using wipers (on an untreated glass) will be as clear as using wipers.*
@waxonwaxoffprodetailing31972 ай бұрын
I appreciate your comment. I never use my wipes, but the few times I have, I don't get any smearing because the glass was clean prior to the coating.

In what fantasy land is a ceramic coating thick enough to stop a rock from damaging glass?
@GacktSama19924 ай бұрын
I have a 2017 Malibu , and I was thinking about getting this done . It has swirl marks on the top , they said they can buff it out and detail the entire car inside and out and ceramic coat it for 1500 dollars do you think that’s a good deal ?
@waxonwaxoffprodetailing31972 ай бұрын
Yes, that's a decent price. A little low, I would say, but not bad.
@GacktSama19922 ай бұрын
@ ah ok, or do you think overall I should just get the top /hood painted for about 2k
@waxonwaxoffprodetailing31972 ай бұрын
@GacktSama1992 if the clear coat has failed, then yes, it should be repainted. Aftermarket paint should definitely be coated since the average life of a repaint is 5 years. The coating will extend its life much longer.
@GacktSama19922 ай бұрын
@ yeah unfortunately I think it has failed it was bought new off the lot in 2017 and the top has white faded spots on it, so I think that means it’s failed right?

Yes, I remember when these were one f the biggest “scams”! They looked good at first, but within a few years, we saw this everywhere! If you only have your car for 2-3 years, then trade it in or sell it, It was ok. But for 70% of people, it was a waste of money. If you didn’t like it, you had yo invest money to buff it out and reseal it every couple of years.
@waxonwaxoffprodetailing31977 ай бұрын
Coating technology has advanced quite a bit. Interior coatings discharge the static, so it reduces cleaning intervals and eliminates the need to deep clean the interior.

@tugbankert65812 жыл бұрын
I typically do not vacuum before scrubbing the carpet unless there is a ridiculous amount of debris. I do, however blow as much loose stuff as I can prior to cleaning. The main reason I don't vacuum light or medium debris is because my little scrubber tool pushes stuff out of the way and it helps me to see where I have scrubbed.
