The white makeup never looks nice. They should just use a porcelain or ivory foundation, I think it would look more beautiful. The pink/red makes the face look healthy/youthful but still, the cracks, bumps etc on the face due to the white paint just makes any face look haggered.

this is terrible. they did the nape of the neck painting SLOPPY. its suppose to be crisp and sharp. Also the geisha/maiko is suppose to be doing it her self, you're only taught how to do it the first few times, the white is going to crust off because you didnt use the wax before hand. TERRIBLE!

Even if it wasn't makeup for a geisha this technique is terrible. Everything sucks
