Hey Caroline, Very vibrant kids you got there. Quick note, if you are going to interloc the hair to retighten when grooming, you will start to see the tips/ends get big and may be hard to pull through the root, I clip mine every retighten so I slowly loose the fat tips as the hair grows and it give the hair a nice blunt look, more professional. Hope this help. keep posting.

Caroline Ned Hi! I am about to start mines at the end of this month you think I should twist first then braid? An did you two strand twist it or counter clock wise twist it. I want to start them off, but I am trying to see how. I want mines to look medium full not too skinny but medium full locs.

You can twist or braid I braided First till about half then twisted the rest but if you want to just twist it it’s fine to it will still come out fine however you want to do them can’t wait to see your journey

i use a few peppermint oil with a few drops of eucalyptus oil in your water spray bottle, rose water is great too. It will be a trial and error because each person's scalp is different , you will have to find out what works best for your hair type. For me my scalp will flake if i have too much oil, too less oil, all of the above, im down to a few drops of oil and every now and then aloe vera gel. your hair looks great

go for it , i locked my daughter's hair when she was 5. she does not like to get her hair comb, and when she knew that she was not going to have to get her hair comb, she didnt mind getting locs. I also re assured her that she could always take her locs down if she ever got tired of them. and she hasnot.
