Nice to see them fling together though I would have called the B17 a medium bomber at best given its small bomb load when compared to the Lancaster

I was fortunate enough to enjoy a beer with Ted White and Elly Sallingboe at Sunderland Flying Club in 1981, when Sally 'B' appeared at the local airshow. I was a young man in my mid twenties, and my flying lessons received an enthusiastic boost! Sadly Ted White was to die in his Harvard shortly after, and he is always remembered by the chequered cowling on no.3 engine.

RIP Texas Raiders B-17 our local bird. No Lancasters in USA Airshows so this is special ! But they never flew together ?

I was there for this amazing air show with my wife. The powered glider pyrotechnics show was something I will always remember, absolutely fantastic. The helicopter pyrotechnics was also amazing and we will definately be going again next time they have one. Not to be missed.

I was setting up at brinkworth show this year and this flew over. I couldn't believe it at first. Said to my son" look, it's a vampire!!". He's 23 and hadn't a clue what I was on about. 😅😅

I used to see a BF 108 Taifun flying around Fresno, Ca. in the mid 1970’s. A local farmer who was a pilot owned it and flew it in airshows. It was a graceful aircraft, not a fighter but a Messerschmidt to be sure.

Hurricane was a direct development from the fury, the fuselage from the firewall back is almost denticle.

Was the Battle of Britain during WW1? Or did the Germans bomb London in 1940 with Fokker Dr1s?

The PBY5 Catalina is a very special air craft to me and many among us. For me, a naval aviator as was my Dad, it was my Dad's experience to fly these, painted black for night patrols & convoy attack in the South Pacific. In time, I met many of his comrades from VP52 "Black Cats" at post-war squadron reunions, viewed the photos in his scrapbook of he & his crew in New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and Australia (From where he found his mate, my Mom.). In time, while serving in the US NAVY in Iceland, I was able to board operational Catalina PBY5A aircraft still operated by the Danish Coastal Command in the North Atlantic to Greenland. The Catalina has a timeless quality all its own!

Awesome aircraft. I saw Typhoons at one of the last airshows at RAF Leucheurs, and was absolutely memorised. - and, despite receiving this video for whatever reason youtube decided, I'm not particularly a fast jet geek. But the Typhoons were stunning. They are like little flying blades. They turn, rise and descend so quickly I wondered how anyone inside could possibly survive. Thwre were three if them together, and it was like seeing three cursor arrows in the sky controlled by someone waving a mouse around in all directions. I was also surprised by how quiet they are when they're not being flown in anger. During another part of the flying display, whilst our attention was focusd on scanning the air, one of the three Typhoons taxied onto the runway and took off using half the runway with barely a whisper. It came back a half hour or so later and within about six seconds was quietly taxiing off a side exit with three quarters of the runway untouched. If the commentator hadn't mentioned to look out for it as it came in we would never have noticed it. Thanks for the vid.
