Funny though >> Shihan HUG was a semi-Mythical figure in Japan, like a SEMI-GOD to them! Andy was >>> HANDSOME ( no homo here! ) and very AESTHETIC, so Japs went CRAZY for him. Too bad, that he was actually on ROIDS ( like most of them ) from 95-96 and on, and THAT sped up his Leukaemia dramatically. R.I.P

That DOESN'T take away anything from his UNPARALLELED SKILLSET that nobody was able to replicate! NOBODY! NOT 1..!!! OSU..!!! He fought his last few fights while DEADLY SICK.. Just shows, how indomitable his fighting SPIRIT was back then.

Nobody can be prime TYSON..!!! // Nobody can be prime ANDY HUG..!!! >>> MEANS : NOBODY WAS ABLE TO REPLICATE THEIR SKILLSET..!!! Not 1 When he died, I almost cried. Hug was a Legendary warrior! R.I.P. OSU..!!!

An imposing figure. I was his uke at a UK seminar once. I was completely starstruck at the time so it was quite intimidating. His attention to detail and variety of interpretations per technique was inspiring. RIP Abe sensei.

I stopped training kata because I did not have an interpreter for the codes. I have always realized that kata can only be interpreted correctly by the masters with direct lineage to the original coders. Because I did not have access to that kind of a master, I found compasation in Kumite.
