Hey there! I'm working on a video for my channel about the bioluminescent algae that lights up the waves like this and found your extraordinary footage here. I was wondering if I may be allowed to use your footage in my video? Naturally I'd give credit and link your original upload. Thanks very much for sharing this and well done!

I know this is six years late, but what song is this? I was not expecting something like this from a coral video. I looked for a coral video because I have a new reef tank and I found one with beautiful music.

There is an old post somewhere that got some notoriety because it was a rant about how useless this animal is. Everytime i see it, i think about that post 😂

I'm curious, where does that tiny polyp reproduce from? It appears and grows bigger on the side of main structure.

They clone themselves in a fractal fashion
@nick5778 Жыл бұрын
@@tridos2574 interesting! I just study about coral. Could you tell me, so how that matter (like you said the clone) transferred from the parent to the offspring? through coenosarc?
@tridos2574 Жыл бұрын
@@nick5778 I'm not a coral expert, but yes, I'm sure the clones start on the coenosarc and grow out of the parent, and the parts below the coenosarc shift as well to form the mouth

I only once in my life time experienced sea lights in the North Sea, during a sailing trip. Our skipper awakened us, launched a dinghy, and rowed around. Then he got into the water himself, and swam around. The light followed every movement. - It was the most impessive spectacle of nature I ever witnessed.
