Thanks for this video this helped me with the same problem on my Canyon Aeroad and S27 seat post. I got one side out with the alan key but the other was stubborn and would not come out with an alan key. In the end I managed to get it out by using a park tool BBT 90.3 tool which was perfect to put pressure linearly around the inside of the stubborn cup. It took a few whacks but it came out.

I found it easier to release the bolt and whack the front of the saddle

Same problem when I first received the bike. Sent a message to Canyon support team, during time waiting response, I figured it out same way as what you did in the video. A few days later, Canyon sent me the link which directed me here. I just wanted to say that I didn't feel comfortable using a hammer to take saddle clamp out (even though I have done a few time already), what if I damaged carbon seatpost, will Canyon still warrantee? And also I need to bring a hammer with me visiting bike fitter next time, what a joke.

I was having the same problem and Canyon support actually sent me the link to your video, so you are obviously doing the correct thing. Just as a note for others reading this, I did have to hit the allen key pretty hard to get the piece to pop out. It got done without issue and no damage to any parts, but it did feel strange having to hit it hard.

Thanks a lot!! Had the same problem and just copied what you did. Works perfectly. One note: you could wrap the wrench in some fabric (thin socks or similar) and then hammer it out :)

I could not get this to work for the sp0066 seat post. What part of the inner cone do you hit? Maybe I was just being too timid

Thanks, I had the same problem with sp0046 after a missed clip in. I tried a few items to hammer with but one side was still stuck. Luckily I had a steel mold box handle of exactly the correct diameter and that distributed the hammer force evenly around the circle.

I'm very late to this party, but just wanted to say THANK YOU! I just purchased a Canyon Aeroad CF SLX, and took it to the local shop for some minor adjustments. Neither the tech nor I could get the seat to adjust up or down thanks to the mechanism(s) being stuck. We tried everything! Had the same issue with the SP0055 seat post here and it's now solved. I ended up taking the seat post off the bike and then taking a hammer to the inside of the rails with an allen key in between. Pretty scary to take a hammer to my brand-new Canyon but it worked.

What kind of idiot doesn't believe mfg torque specs? "nah it's not tight enough... keep going until the screw breaks". Dumb.

So helpful! Brand new Canyon set up out the box and could not work out how to get the saddle to tilt (seemed to be set up with a degree or so nose up and not very comfortable). Turns out you smack the thing (that I'd spent hours carefully setting up) with a hammer! All sorted, saddle adjusted.

100% difficulty dont mean its 100 % true its just a size of a cassette, amount of watts you need to push bike on top stays the same.
