This puts the decision into better perspective, having seen clips of the stylized model used in other videos. I'm torn between the art style being recognizably your voice, it reminds me of the mall comic and and that era, but also... I know that completing something is only possible if you are willing to cut out every single thing that gets in the way. I wish you had the time, budget, and team to make it just the way you want. But also, 100% support you doing whatever you gotta do to get it "done". I'm more impressed by the willingness to sacrifice in order to progress. It's the only way anything gets completed.

Surprised to not see more side project stuff in there. You've made a lot of great work that isn't in this reel. But there's also a lot of great work in the reel to. So what do I know :)

That'll probably be my next reel. Side project stuff hasn't been received super well because a lot of it isn't finished. Seems like a lot of recruiters will tune you out entirely if you're not showing all production work (at my level). Appreciate the kind words!

Have you ever done an eyes in the dark gag before? It’s whenever it is pitch dark, the characters' open eyes are always visible. It’s one of my favorite cartoon gags.

Hi Eric! Love the animation, it looks great! I was hoping to use this rig myself but I can't seem to get the textures to load in the viewport the same way you have. I've followed the "read me" that was provided with the pack but to avail. The textures seem to just load in black and I can't find any solutions on how to fix this. Did you encounter the same problem?

Yeah, assuming you did download the texture files, you need to point them to their new locations within maya. There is a tool inside maya that can help do this all at once, look for the "File Path Editor" window. This will let you change all the texture locations from where they used to be on someone elses computer to where they are on yours.
