As long as they create a rich back story, stick to telling an epic tale and avoid preachy gender politics, needlessly heavy LGBT plot lines and character lists, lecturing identity politics, Mary Sue Characters, Mcguffins, mystery boxes, obvious self insert characters, anti - Trump references, huge space ships operating on or near planetary surfaces (I'm looking at you JJ Abrahams) etc, they'll almost certainly do better than Disney. Don't get too obsessed with realism, what they already have is fine. The a imation of much of the Halo universe content isn't as good as this but people still love it. Give audiences a main cast they can relate to, care about and root for, a great villain we can all boo and hiss at, or a hero ship called Thunderchild, Argo, Enterprise or The -Millennium- -Falc- Kestrel... Yeah uh Century Kestrel, or something Ahem. Shamelessly plunder the scripts for Sink the Bismark! Battle of Britain, Battle of the River Plate and Tora Tora Tora! for old school stiff upper lip and daring do, ignore every single last professional shill critic and then just stick to providing the audience with escapist entertainment. Do like Alita Battle Angel did and just make the movie you wanna make or that fans want to watch. Many of the main ingredients are already there. The movie won't get anywhere near an Oscar, but I reckon this is still the formula for creating the biggest Sci Fi film of the year or at the very least a huge sleeper hit that makes bank and sells toys and video games, whatever those are...

@@_Djura_ sometimes yes. I thinks it may be caused by some sharpening effect. I can make it flicker and shimmer real bad using reshade. I have stopped using it though.

@@cyberletho Dude... 🤦‍♂LG C2 42" OLED is aspect ratio 16:9 My Monitor is 21:9 The original video is 21:9 and shows on my monitor without a single black bar. It fills the scxreen completly. Do you get it?

I will try to do a upload of a 21:9 ratio. I had figured that OBS would just record the native aspect ratio it was presented in. I will change some settings to see if I can do so. What monitor do you have. Been thinking of picking up a 21:9 .

you get to customise your character after the prologue. They have a lore reason you can change your appearance, etc. You see part of it at the end when he is in front of that mirror thing.

Original backer, it's been so long since we've had a patch I can get my friends in to play without game-breaking bugs that I'm done trying. I'm 7 years into my 4th career since the first stable patch and I just cant buy in to the same rhetoric anymore. I hope I'm wrong, but experience tells me to expect more new ships without reworks of outdated classic ships or game loops being fixed after 3+ years. I'm so damn tired.

its why its called prologue. its before the start of the game to put you in the ambiance :)

Think you missed the point of it. This is supposed to set up the story of your character. It's what happens after thats squadron 42 and thats what you get to play.

We've already seen a full mission later in the game back in 2017 which was pretty much straight gameplay.

Why would there be “fighter gameplay” when the character is not a Fighter Pilot? Didn’t even get accepted into the Flight Academy, remember?

Squadron 42 uses the same technology and is settled in the same universe and timeline as Star Citizen but is its own game.

@@robertmandl9326 wow that's some smart money laundering right there. You get a bunch of gamers to give you money then use all the extra money to develop a full game engine. After that you license the engine to developers that way you can legally access money that would have otherwise been reserved for the development of the game... It's almost like money laundering within a trust fund.

it basically is, older star citizen game packages came with SQ 42 included, it was the single player component of star citizen, but CIG has since separated the purchase of SQ 42 and Star citizen to be different.

It's called the Janeway Effect. Don't worry; it will change when they get new orders from Star Fleet or the fan base.
