No wonder reborn was a shit hole. The strongest trainer they had there is literally the one causing mayhem. Plus Lin getting toss in the abyss was great. However it`s still upsetting that this softlock still exists. It`s a good game plotwise and gameplay wise, but I could see this ruining someone`s playthrough if they were playing it blind. The only good thing about starting over was getting some plates from mining rocks.

I’m regards to Shelly, when I played the Part 18 version of her battle I used a different strategy. Because I couldn’t figure out how to stop her Rain from going up, I just said screw it and put the Sun up with a Castform instead. It comes with the benefit of removing the Forest Field from play without destroying it, and it forced her to reset Rain, and therefore the Rainbow Field, and I can just fire off awesome Rainbow Boosted Weather Balls with Castform for free.
