How incredibly inefficient. Is this a joke??
@curtisharms Жыл бұрын
It might not be the most efficient tool but with no moving parts or hydraulic lines to break it looks to be essentially maintenance free minus sharpening the teeth once in a while. I'm interested in trying one out in person. I think they would be good with two machines if you ran one with a grapple bucket behind the saw.
@buroakenthusiast61072 жыл бұрын
I would do this and have someone follow behind with cut-stump herbicide. And then burn the next year. Bye thorns. I need this on my property!
@jordankindschi85293 жыл бұрын
For everyone you cut, 10 more will grow from the roots. Locust have to be killed from the root. This saw would be ideal for clearing the area of trees, to allow for later spraying of Remedy to kill the regrowth saplings. Definitely not a one and done solution for locusts.

How often do you have to "sharp" the teeth? Good video!
@GreenerLand19876 жыл бұрын
Ron Gray we don't ever actually sharpen the teeth. We rebuild them. Depending on the volume of rock in your ground you can see anywhere from 600 to 2000+ hours before anything has to be touched.
@anthonymorrison21672 жыл бұрын
@@GreenerLand1987 how do you rebuild them?
@GreenerLand19872 жыл бұрын
The teeth have hard surface welded on them. They will run generally thousands of hours before they ever need attention depending on ground conditions but they will look terrible and still cut great. Once they get wore out to the point of affecting production, a rebuild just consists of rewelding the hard surface back on the original teeth. Then it's as good as new. Takes about a half a day to do this process to one. Depending on the size of the saw.

Those LT500s had a lot of torque but they were heavy. The newer 4 strokes make lot more HP power bands are better too 2 strokes always had to be modified to get better power bands.
@whiplash05677 жыл бұрын
That 500 makes more hp than your four strokes bro lol
@powersportsenthusiast19866 жыл бұрын
really "bro"? people make way too much out of these quadzillas... they made 51 at the crank, which is about low 40s to the wheels. that's not astonishing by any means. a stock 450 quad makes similar numbers, MAYBE a bit less. a newer 450 bike, which comes in a hotter tune from the factory, makes almost 60 AT THE WHEEL. not even close! if anything the guy on the bike couldn't ride as well and you could see he was pulling rapidly right before he shut down. if he had been able to hold it on he would of decimated that zilla

getting ready to pull the motor now to see what is going on with it. I know the power valve is broke (it was the day I bought it) but I adjusted it shut so I would have power on the top end as I don't really care about below 4500 rpms. I don't really know what else could be wrong. I know with the power valve shut all the time it won't idle very long before it dies. haha
