1964 was not a peaceful paradise most here are reminiscing about. Our president had been killed the year before, Vietnam was escalating with our response to the Gulf of Tonkin explosion and three civil rights workers were butchered in Mississippi. Very troubling times if you ask me.

I watched Dr Zhivago for the first time 36 years ago. My boyfriend at the time, gave me a heart shape music box that plays Lara's theme. I still have it and i still treasure it. And have happy and fond memories. And yes, lucky me, it still plays. ❣️. One day, i may pass it on to one of my beautiful granddaughters 💕
