I'm confused, as is the conductor. Tempo marking at the beginning is 4/4 at 84 beats per minute. He's conducting in 4, but at about 42 beats per minute. Fortunately, I guess, the band is playing at the correct tempo. Obviously, they "ain't" watching him.
