I gave teachers like Bronson hell as a kid lol,,truth be told though, once I grew up and reflect back, I realize that teachers like that (strict but fair types) are often the best teachers, as they would use empathy in a very effective way!,,,its actually a shame it took me to grow up to realize.

One of my favourite moments in Grange Hill was when Bronson comes to school without the wig. As viewers, we also felt shocked along with the characters! Really great writing as well, suggesting that Bronson was beginning to soften up. Without his ridiculous wig, he appeared far more respectable and dignified.

Its obvious now - as a kid at the time we did not notice the syrup. Michael Sheard was great as Bronson. He also played Hitler in "Indiana Jones and Last Crusade" - remember that scene when Harrison Ford bumps into him?

Lol well Kelly George aka Ray was 21 years old Justines St Joe's boyfriend was 22 but oldest was Marc Warren at 24 playing one of the visiting private school boys and then one or two others were near being 20s like Desmond Askew aka Richard but all playing 15 to 16 year old pupils.
