Nephew worked there.. Management gives over 50% discounts to friends and family. They also be opening pokemon card packs and keeping high valuable ones. That's why they are going out of business, internal problems.

@alenshirvanyan473 my man, physical games are mostly over 60 bucks for new ones, they sell them to family for 20 to 30 bucks. Internal theft is a huge issue, but you guys are so stuck on your virtual vs disc shit 😂🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

@ my brother in christ you have no idea what you are talking about Their yearly revenue is around 5 billion, their losses are in the billions Even if we assumed the absolute worst case scenario that every single of the 4000 locations was giving out 100 games a year at a discount to their employees at a $30 loss per game, that "internal theft" wouldn't even be 1% of their yearly operating revenue Physical retailers in general are just seeing a massive decline in consumer spending in the last decade or so with the rise of Amazon and other online retailers, no one wants to go to physical stores to shop anymore. Sears went completely out of business while Macy's JCPenny and more retailers are struggling to adapt and are bleeding revenue as a result
