The referenced negativity comes from a portion of the book fans who feel the series is not a faithful adaptation. Now that the book purists have set down their megaphones and are no longer actively trying to drag down the show, you will find more level-headed comments from those of us that remain -- and we generally like the show. Taking away any other angle and just focusing on whether it's good TV, I would say that season one was very mid with a few really good episodes sprinkled in. Season 2 was much better and is genuinely a good watch. I would describe it as above average fantasy TV and give it a 7/10.

The book purists are the ones that don't like the show. I'm a fan of both. Even though I like the books better I still like the show. You need to watch the first two seasons.

Imagine trying to understand the plot and characters of such a humongous story by only watching a teaser trailer for the 3rd season? Like what? Bruh how can you have any context when theres two full seasons you havent seen. You cant criticise something for not 'giving you anything' when they already have 2 seasons you ignored

The teaser was packed with clips and didn't tell any stories besides Morraine must choose to save herself or Rand Al'Thor. We saw many tantalizing scenes from book 4/14 in the series. WOT fans will be mostly happy with the preview. Book 4 setting is mostly a desert environment where Rand undergoes trials and demonstrates that he is the fabled Dragon Reborn. All of this is happening while Dark/Shadow elements are trying to influence him and corrupt others.

I am a book and show fan. Sure season 1 had problems, but it was filmed in 2020 and was hit with major COVID issues, shut downs, filming restrictions on sets that were build, limited amount of people allowed on set for an epic battle resulting in a lot of cgi, while budget due to lockdowns was already tight. After episode 6 one of the main actors dropped out for unknown reasons resulting in major rewrites for episodes 7+8 incl rewrites due to filming restrictions. Season 2 was a big step up. I don’t mind most of the changes, I understand that because of the change of medium and the scale of the story and time they are given changes are necessary. Changes I don’t like, other fans do like. Overall I never expected this to make it to the screen and find a bigger audience and am delighted that I was wrong. Most non readers I came in contact with love the show.

There are 4.4M words in the 15 book series. The TV show has to cut a lot of stuff in order to fit into the projected 8 series of 8HR episodes. This has upset a lot of fans of the book, as their favourite sections have been changed or substantially compressed. Other groups of fans are enjoying this interpretation, and seeing their beloved characters come to life on the screen. Generally feedback from those who weren't familiar with the book series seems to be positive, though that's anecdotal. Series 1 was hit with covid, and a main actor dropped out, so the final episode fails to live up to the potential that was built from previous episodes. Series 2 was an improvement in general quality. If you're a fan of the genre, it's certainly worth a watch. If you're a fan of the books, expect a lot of changes - though the general arcs and plot beats seem to be the same. If you're a fan of the books, and (for example) get upset that they cut Tom Bombadil from the Lord of the Rings films then it's probably not for you.

I know this is a kind of old reaction, but there are a lot of games where you can play as dinosaurs most of them are survival games games like path of Titans beasts of Bermuda and the aisle are some of the most well known in that genre, but they’re also very good ones coming out there’s a dragon game where you can play as either a human or a dragon called wings of dawn. It looks amazing from what I’ve seen so far.

You got recommended to me and I didn't finish the video so I decided to fill you in on infinity nikki news. It will be a cozy open world dress up rpg with elements of platforming. The nikki franchise has always been f2p friendly(not shining nikki though. I have plenty of gripes on it). It seems that they are going to be crazy generous with certain currency and the gacha system is literally pulling for clothing items. I do recommend looking more into it since it is a game and community that we really need right now.(peaceful community where the most controversial things that ever happened was teens making s**ually suggestive photo collage and the cultural orientation/significance of the hanbok).

The book is one of the best books I’ve read. It’s I think 100 pages it’s about a man who decides to do the Christian thing it’s a brilliant, short story. The Catholic Church had too much control in Ireland. People feared it. I would say it’s still culturally a Catholic country, but the Catholic Church does not have control over the country anymore. Which is a good thing. I would really suggest you either read the book or see the film. I can’t wait to see the film.

You were looking on the Playstation KZbin channel, so they aren't listing all the systems that it's available on. PC, Steamdeck, XBOX and I'll bet Nintendo Switch all have access to the expedition rn. All expansions and expeditions and new content since release has been completely free for anyone who owns the game. There are no paid expansions or paid content. Once you buy the game, you can access it all. The expeditions are only around for periods of time, but they do a re-release of each year's expeditions at the end of each calendar year. Some of that content would be unavailable simply bc it's from an old event that is already ended. But other than old expeditions - as long as your game is updated you should have all new content and expansions available.
