there are some advanced griffon tricks where you can fly permanent and as high as you want. So it was always a flying mount :D

it's worth noting that original griffon already could have perma-flight and could even gain altitude just as long as you'd done the original masteries for it. No need for jade glider, jade bot buff, this new buff, or anything else fancy, lol. It just took the tiniest bit of practice and knowhow to do but it really was easy. That said - I love that all these new buffs keep enabling the griffon to be better and better :)

wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mount_Energy_Booster_3 in the long run it would be best to get all mount related masteries but in order to fly like this you just need the griffon, the energy booster level (2 or) 3 aswell as the jade bot masteries and an power core and the mastery from janthir wilds as shown in the video. This video was mostly a meme though and i recommend watching this guide if you're new to the griffon: kzbin.info/www/bejne/np6YfK2Kr89opJI There are more efficient ways of flying your griffon compared to what i showed in my video. the griffon was always a flying mount. You can gain altitude as long as you have the dive mastery. Once you pull up from a dive, flap at the apex and you'll be higher than you were before. Do this a lil bit to build height, spend it on ZOOMIES

Important note. You need to spam space! Or just click it at around 80%, the wings flap even when not full energy. But if you just hold space they will flap when the energy is full only, which is not enough.

Pro Tip for thos of us who love Griffon, hold jump with your Springer and unmount before the jump is done, then you will be alone in the aire, summon Griffon if you have the SotO Mastery to get over it mid air and then you can fly with a lot more of altitude, specially if you have that Jade Bot Chip

They nerfed the springer trick at some point and these days (especially with the soto masteries) it's usually better to just use the skyscale instead. You need to jump, mount the skyscale in the air, fly up to about 50 % of your altitude meter (make sure to look as far up as possible with your camera) and start dodging. just go somewhere high with skyscale and look up and press ability 4 times while going up then wings for more hight and the grab griffon as fast as possible

@@BoogieSchmerzbold I love it for going fast.... but it's not zipping across the map unless it's from heights. From ground, it's roller beetle. For up and down I use skyscale. Each has it's own unique purpose otherwise they'd just be reskinned mounts. Except jackal. Useless. Lol.

Griffon was always a flying mount. You just have to dive boost. NOT boost and NOT dive but both at same time. Boost while diving. That enables the speed and then the gain of altitude so you fly endlessly.
