Mark Kelley was awesome. I was there when he retired and the rehearsal hall was named for him. "Go get 'em tiger!" Love seeing a show from the fall before I was born....and recognizing every bit of pregame....including chair step at ridiculous tempo!

Drew is the best

A solid performance to firmly grab second place at this competition. The band that took third, Thomas Worthington, has improved this year and would give North Royalton a run for their money now . . . but fall just short, I think. The band that took first, Lakota West, would hold onto that spot if they met North Royalton this year. But they won't meet, not even at State Finals, where NRHS is currently scheduled to perform five hours earlier. Royalton parents will get to see two very solid AA bands in the same SMBF block, though: Hilliard Darby and Dublin Jerome.
