Ricky Skaggs is a very important musical figure in my life. We can thank him for bringing bluegrass instruments into country music. One of my fondest memories as a teenager was watching him on TV with my mom and dad win CMA newcomer of the year or maybe the horizon award for " Crying My Heart Out Over You". We were big fans and had all of his LP's......

Just love J.D. Crowe with you and Tony....just great. The music you guys made was second to none and hated it when it broke up. Mr. Crowe is and was such a great banjo player and of course there will never be another Tony Rice. Thanks for the music you guys made and it will live on forever.

I sure enjoyed your podcast.. Your early life and now is so interesting l love your family values plus you seem to be a very sylvie business person l had a chance to watch some of your videos from Missouri home. Your hubby Herb remembers me of my hubby of 55+yrs.and but look out when they say something .. .!!! At times it can be like a dry sense humor but they are so so caring. .. wish you and Herb the best.. God bless and stay safe... love your music....💖💞🙏😊

@@JustinMosesMusic I bought a mandolin and picked up a plectrum for the first time in twenty years thanks to your inspiration. It's been great fun ! Check out my 'Hail Bossa' video if you are at all interested in nylon string guitar. Otherwise keep on doing what you do, I think you are the best bluegrass musician I have ever heard, humble and powerful.

Fast version. Would love to hear the sound, directly from the board. Justin Moses, one of the best overall musicians alive.
@robertfox499 Жыл бұрын
Totally agree. Justin Moses is up there with some of my favorite musicians in all the world. That list includes the great Stuart Duncan, Sierra Hull, Brian Sutton, Edgar Meyer, Chris Thile, and Jerry Douglas... just to name a few. Justin, along with Stuart Duncan, is also my favorite 'ALL AROUND MUSICIANS' (as in 'can do and play anything perfectly'). I feel lucky to be alive during a time of such Americana renaissance! Thank you Mr. Moses for all that you do and the quality with which you do it.

Hey there I am big admirer you your good self Mr Moses. You have the best right hand in the business (of bluegrass) and a clarity of musical intent that makes that mean something. I play too (gut strings mostly) and it is very good to find good examples out there.
