This is actually the same idea of what we use at my township in Canada. Hauling gravel one day, water the next!

I love watching a grader work! I've calculated there are about 1200 different geometeric setups (probably more) you can create when operating a grader. If the grader operator would lay the mold board about 1/2 forward during his final finish pass when doing the fore slope of the ditch he would leave less material in the ditch giving it a more defined/flowable profile. And my very last pass on the main surface, I laid the mold board forward/down for a 'tighter together' surface making it smoother even after the rollers finished. Operated one of these for 47 years.

You probably want to get a padfoot roller on there then a flat drum then the multi roller you'll get much better compaction than that method.

I have a real love/hate relationship with a steel drum roller. Sometimes put the roller right behind the water truck and the free water lubricates the soil so it won’t stick. Pneumatic is sometimes the way to roll!

Now I know why they didn't add sound before. You don't really hear engine purr just grinding sounding. Except for the Star and the pump going being it. That was worth it.

Interesting to watch the different methods. I was a grader operator for thirty years and drove a Komatsu 555 for 11 of them. Good machine. I've driven many graders in the past. Great job!
