I think the songs could be really great but it was always the mix that reallllly threw me on this record. Just sounded spongey to me

I love these guys and I have a tremendous amount of respect for each and every member as well as for the band as a whole but since I've become a born-again Christian the Lord has revealed to me the truth of music and I can never unreveal it. I'll never forget when New World Order came out. I had been listening to Slayer, Flotsam and Jetsam, Megadeth and Metallica and I was like wow this Testament is the greatest metal band of all time, the experience was so incredible. And that's saying something considering all the incredible thrash metal albums that came out in 1988. Digging the Xtreme Couture jacket, Chuck. I love you guys praise be to God may he bless you and yours always Jesus is Lord

Probably the first album that came across to me as so sonically heavy. Listening back to tracks from it now and still having that unbeatable feeling, as if it were the first time hearing it. Everything feels so refined yet dissonant. Truly is a masterpiece of an album and definitely a desert island disc.

Great video! The Meshuggah band and crew are of course super professional but I'm also impressed by the young Indian tour manager. You can see how they all respected and liked him, especially at the end, saying goodbye.

It's such a major shame that Rob and Adam had a permanent falling out. Those two were musical brothers, the bass lines and backing vocals Adam provided in the MH catelog he is in is tge metal stuff of legends. Apparently the falling out is so bad they really cut ties with each other and it's lasted for many years.
