I've been enjoying mine! My current planner feels so effortless, and while I write in my 5 year diary I use my 2024 planner to backfill because I basically wasn't in it at all last year 😅

While I do love the gilded pages of Sterling ink, I actually really love the quotes, weeks covers and the colors in the hobonichi a lot more 🥹 I might pick up one of her booklets though!

I love that you repurpose older planners!! I’m going to attempt to redate an older Weeks to use in 2025. Also, I’m amazed that you could use the cute but tiny Moleskine pocket as a work notebook - mine would be full by month 3 😂

I’ve noticed that it’s actually not the leather, but the TN inserts that done lay flat, you can still train the leather a bit but the standard inserts from TRC, they usually never lay flat on their own.

Thank you for watching! For the older hobonichis, usually you’ll find them on Amazon but for much older ones, you can definitely see them pop up every so often on Mercari or one of the BST groups on Facebook!

I'm so glad to know that Amazon JP has the Mother memo pads -- I got one set a couple of years ago, and didn't realise the Hobonichi store doesn't have them anymore! I also really wish I had gotten that beautiful Plate of Confectionaries Weeks ~ I love that you're able to pair the new gorgeous Tanabata Weeks with it! 😍 I've wondered about the leather closure for the Weeks, how do you like it? the red you chose looks stunning against the One Piece Weeks!

Thank you so much for watching! I absolutely love the leather bookband, since you do have the ability to loosen it if your book gets chonky over time! The hobonichi store probably has the mother memo pad for the cousin size still available, but they are not stocking the weeks and a6 size for some reason 🥲

I love this, I will upcycle my unused pages at the end of this year and keep them for scrap notes snd blotting paper. Ibwas gling to throw the book away after transferring to my 10 year journal but let's be real, it's too expensive to just toss away a bunch of unused pages!

I've been shopping through my stash this year and using my unused pages in past hobonichi weeks as my daily scribbles. Using them in a new tragen weeks cover I bought last year. I've been Hobonichi free for the past 3 years (except buying covers and accessories). Was using TN passport size notebooks for the past 2 years and planning to move into an A5 size Nolty in 2025 as an archival journal while returning to the pocket sized rings for EDC drafts. Not considering Hobonichi Cousin as I don't do my weeks vertical. My old A6 Hobonichi also had so many blank pages that I ripped them apart and made refills for my ring binders. I guess I work better without dated pages as its a waste if I missed a few weeks of journaling.

It’s a nice idea to have older planners in new covers, that way you still feel like you’re not missing out on things that may catch your eye for the current year. 💕

I took one apart with an x-acto knife and it didn’t come out nearly as neatly as that - thanks for showing me that method. I covered up my messy spines with washi tape: tomoe river on its own is a little thin for discbound punching but I love writing on it! Next time I take one apart it’ll definitely be like this 😊

Hi, I have a Gillio Appunto in A6, and it has the exact same stitching on top, but not at the bottom. I was wondering about that too, but since both covers have the same, maybe it's because of the back pocket? I don't know …

Yes, I think it’s the pocket that needs that specific stitching! How are you liking your A6 appunto? My A5 compagna is way too much leather for me now.

@@themochicloud I actually really like it, but I wish it didn't have a back pocket, and I'm annoyed by the zipper in the back. Even tho I like it, I wish I bought a VDS custom instead. I already have a VDS custom ring planner which I really really love, in JL brown. I have done so many customisations and ended up spending wayyy to much. Sadly I'm not into rings, but hopefully it will come back. I don't want to sell it, because I'll never buy it again, so I'm just saving it for another time, haha! Yeah, the A5 is pretty, but a lot of leather. I imagine its a lot to handle.I've gone smaller and smaller ending up not needing a lot of space.

You’re correct: there used to be pencil boards for Mother in each size for many years, with new designs every year since at least 2016. Seems like they are slowly phasing out the Mother series in favor of One Piece.
