I know this is old, but at 0:26, which bolt are you referring to -- the black (or what seems to be black) bolt on the left or the silver one on the right (bolted on a vertical metal)?

It should be the bolt securing the alternator - which I believe is the one on the bottom left, from this view. The silver one, on the right just appears to be securing the wire harness bracket.

Easily the most frustrating part of replacing the alternator! Thanks so much for this video. I did the whole job from the top with kind of skinny arms and a bit of cussing. Didn't have to bump the starter in my case. Probably the most frustrating yet beautiful part was when the belt, who I'd been wrestling with for a WHILE, just set on once everything was routed and the alternator had play in it. I almost couldn't believe it because it went on so easily. Checked it with my flashlight and all looked good. I swear, before that since I'd reapplied the belt through its various pulleys so many times I could do it by feel more accurately than by sight. Thanks again for putting this up. Oh, I have a 2013 Honda Fit Sport 5 speed for reference. ✌️😎

I never liked the idea of 'bumping the starter'. Glad this method worked well for you! Enjoy your Fit. I'm sure the manual is a blast!

Thanks! Just did this adjusting alternator bolt as described, I think this is the least stressful method, also did everything from top (probably because my hands are slim). Loosen/remove alternator bolt make removing belt a piece of cake, and putting the belt on less stressful. As describe zip tie the wrench to tensioner. To get the belt back on loop through the two bottom pulleys first, then get it in between the smooth pulleys and get as much as the belt you can on the AC pulley (I got about half) then lift wrench up and the remainder of my belt pop right in.
