Great to see someone advocating the carrying of whistles. My preference is for survival whistles by ACR or ACME (J. Hudson and Co.). I always carry two, one on me and one on the outside of my pack. Happy Trails.

I walked in the woods for 30 years in my job. In the last ten years i would not leave my truck without good mirrored compass and a map gps that leaves a trail and waypoint on the screen where you have been. Carry extra batteries. It's not 'if' you get lost it is 'when' you get lost. Phones work on local signal, Gps works from satellite. I always made sure I was 'out' of the woods by 3 o clock or so. On a cloudy day you can get lost in a moment.

Very interesting and informative, thank you! I have never found a morel here, and though I've offered endless gratitude to my friends who know where the supreme gorgeous wrinklies live, none have ever told me the whereabouts of their secret hideaways. The person who can commercially grow them will be as wealthy as he who tames the wild truffle. Meanwhile - to the woods - in hopes!

What a magnificent way to explain the importance of clean drinking water to us all. Beer, wine, soda, and cider......all water based. Great interviews by all involved. Kudos PPFF for getting this message out. Exceptional quality video.

Excellent information. I've lived within 20 miles of the area nearly all of my 60 years of life and this is the best history lesson I've heard/seen. I especially enjoyed seeing the old photos as they help put the remnants of the area in context. Thank you!
