Have you guys discovered all the mines out these scattered around the power line roads? These are several. Some of them are pretty deep.

Chamise Peak is a great trail. Ive been riding and hiking that trail for 20+ years. It really blew up when Covid hit. I used to see 1 or 2 people up there on a Saturday.

I miss Redding. I'll have to bring my MTB the next time I visit my family there. I used to ride bikes around Redding as a kid, but never made it up to the Keswick area trails. I'll make sure to stop by your shop.

@reddingadventurehub Hey Dan, how tall are you? and inseam? I am looking at the Grappler and am 6'1" with 32" inseam. Only size in my area is a Medium. You said you were on the Large Grappler. Trying to decide if the M would work or if I should jump up to the L. Thoughts, after riding the L?

I’m 6’1” with 34” inseam. Large fits me great.

Thanks for the fun video! What do you think of this bike with 29ers (max out at 2.2) vs the 27.5 setup you have now?
@Reddingadventurehub24 күн бұрын
It’s probably a super practical option. I find myself riding my Karate Monkey around this area because the 29” offer a faster rolling platform.
@quintonomous1124 күн бұрын
@@Reddingadventurehub i ended up getting one of these and built myself up 27.5 and a 29 wheelset for it. handles war more playful and fun with 27.5, but for longer distance bikepacking, i think i'll swap on the 29ers

Subbed for more great and informative content. I love fat bikes. I recently got my folding fat bike stolen. In search for a new one and I think the skookum AF will be it. Been debating between skookum af, borealis flume, mukluk, and beargrease. I typically ride to find bike trails, bike parks with jumps and berms, bike paths, canal trails, railroad trails, creeks, single tracks everywhere really. I just love going on mini adventures on my bike and will be using a proper fat bike for that. Which do you recommend for that? I’m really leaning towards the skookum af. It comes with great parts and good price because I’m planning to put a front suspension fork on the other bikes since they come with rigid one. I’m planning to put a cyc photon motor and use it as a Uber eats bike delivery monster. Would it be wise to use it for delivering as far as comfort and performance or practicality?

Why do they call it Whiskeytown?
@Reddingadventurehub Жыл бұрын
Not sure
@Dempsey222 Жыл бұрын
@@Reddingadventurehub Whiskeytown, originally called Whiskey Creek Diggings, was founded in 1849 and named in reference to a whiskey barrel rolling off a citizen's pack mule; it may also refer to miners drinking a barrel per day. The reservoir is connected to the Central Valley Project in the northwestern region of the Central Valley.
