I'm not sure it's possible to draw without burdens. Picking up wings and navigating to a floor to draw the brand is a lot of faffing about, idk I wasn't convinced from my own routing. Gray and Lillie any% already spend very little time on any floors (Gray record is 5m43s). Of course it's used in routes with burdens, like when you select them at start or true ending/cif's challenge. The run I'll be doing (All Bosses) requires gray and lillie any% runs as mandatory to get to cif in order to kill mon. I'm not using starting burdens.

Also - you are playing Cadence as your main skill - you should definitely farm Fort Valiburry for two Cadence Axes - there is a boss - Jarren the Plaguewarped - kill him and he will drop you great axe for Cadence build - it is 100% guarantee drop from him. Kill him 4-5 times and pick two best axes and you will be ready to go ;)
