Cambias' books are hilarious, rarely had so much fun with SF.

Ooo this does sound like a very fun read. Question will there be any romance? I do like a bit of romance with my heavy action.

But we also find out that the labor of the careless is ALSO vital to society. I want to learn what th demons are so bad. They communicate telepathically, and they are aliens, and they are quite Lovecraftian.

I don’t know if David will see this. But. Path of the Fury was my favorite book for a long time. In Fury Born is currently my favorite. I listen to a lot of your stories as an Uber driver and recommend this series as an introduction to your writing.

Love this guy's work. For what it's worth, the only place Catholicism seems to be treated with respect in fantasy is the informal collective of Mormon writers.

Kind of seems weird that both this book and the 1632 series where written by Eric Flint. In the 1632 books he took so much time detaling the story, the world, the process and everything. Meanwhile here, while it is still a good story, it was a lot more rushed.

This was an insightful look into the writing of the "Karres" series of novels. I've been a fan of James H Schmitz's stories since the early '80's, and was grateful that his complete writings were published by Baen Books. It's a great pity that Eric Flint and Dave Freer never did get to work on that proposed sequel to The Demon Breed.

I know he is so busy with his many series, but I have patiently waiting for the sequel to Sword of the South and do wish he would take the time to write it for those of us who have been waiting. Pretty Please

@40:00 - ish.... Startrek nowadays has more optimism ? Sorry, gonna have to disagree. At least from the maybe up to Picard Season 3. A very far cry from the optimism of The Original Series and The Next Generation. Even DS9 which was darker still had some nice optimism. I can't believe I heard it from one of these guys, they seemed pretty down to earth otherwise. Nice pannel, thanks for the upload !

Half way through the book already after hearing his interview on Ken & Robin Talk about Stuff. My new favourite author. A genuine pulp style. Channelling R E Howard. Can't wait for the next book and I'm considering using the setting for a Barbarians of Lemuria campaign.

30:06 I have quit reading a story - serial because of what the Author decided would happen to a single character or even to a whole bunch of characters. Look at those books even as "another universe" as the Multiverse gives us readers the opportunity to enjoy some even when we hate the others...
