You forgot to compare how many hours each saw can work without replacing the cylinder-piston, the power and intended purpose of the Stihl and the second saw. There are eccentrics who compare amateur and professional saws.

@@eugene4259 I’m sure you are trying to be funny, but if the 400 lasts half as long as this 4200 I’d be impressed. The 4200 is almost 50 years old and still has the original piston and cylinder. Hopefully you don’t think just because it has the name Poulan that it wasn’t a professional saw. I really like the 400 and thought this would be a fun video. Thanks for watching

Two questions. #1 is that a pipe? #2 is it out of tune? 2 Stroke engines are new to me. Even more so if piped vs muffler. It kinda sounds like the stumble point when tuning low speed. If that's just how a piped one sounds idling then I'm convinced to start piping my saws. It's choppy like a badass big cammed v8. Sorry for the stupid questions gotta learn somewhere.
@redtiller19757 күн бұрын
@@Cody-is5zm thanks for the questions. This saw is ported and has the hammer head pipe from Boedy better known as the novice lumberjack. This on is a little finicky to tune but in this video it is running very well. Tune is good but idle is set a bit too high. Pipes are cool, but nothing wrong with a modified muffler.
